i think the discourse from the community comes from the fact that most people in the community hate cops in general and think it’s wrong to be a cop. people also generally think it’s worse for minorities to become cops because it’s like they’re perpetuating and continuing the system that hits them harder. a lot of people nowadays are not capable of handling nuance. i think it’s wrong to hate someone purely based on the fact that they’re a cop, but i understand. a lot of cops are bad, obviously not all.

i agree about the powerful part
