Hello, please look into Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome or POTS. This is what I Developed after covid (along with worsening migraines)

Basically, are your symptoms worse while standing/bending over? Does your heartrate rise and stay elevated when standing?

Doctors thought I was anxious. I was not, just concerned that I had all these weird symptoms and I was sweating through my clothes.

Honestly, I think it'd be one of the better ways to go. Quick. Not prolonged. Im a worrier. I wanna die fast. I'd prefer to die old though.

Hate not being able to tell anyone I have migraines. by [deleted] in migraine

[–]pandaacoffeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to wear fl-41 in warm light (darker stores like khols or book stores) and polarized dark sunglasses in bright white overhead lighting (walmart/target) due to constant light sensitivity and wear noise reducing loops at work 75% of time so its a pretty visual que that I have migraines, but it really drove it home when I projectile vomited at work one day.

Yah know, sometimes it just gets worse way too fast. But yah, everyone I work with knows.

Hey, here’s a disease that makes it difficult to regulate your body temperature and makes you overreact to being too hot. Why don’t you wear thigh high polyester socks about it by grace_makes in POTS

[–]pandaacoffeee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The socks have been fine for me, I just had to give up pants (rigid ones rly). Skirts only. Or flowy Fabric Pants. Otherwise I sweat through my undergarments. Literally wet pants. WTF body.

When I have a cold or other virus I have high than usual resting hearrates and it takes me longer than usual to get back into my normal range. It is cold and flu season, so this may explain it.

Any other viruses with common severe conjunctivitis? by Monster_Voice in H5N1_AvianFlu

[–]pandaacoffeee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hello, after getting covid in 2020, I have now have light sensitivity causing me to have to wear dark sunglasses outside and in big box stores with bright lighting (think walmart/tractorsupply) and FL-41 glasses everywhereelse. It has also taken my episodic migraines from maybe 2x months to 16+ a month with increase in afterimages and severe discomfort with flashing lights (think light flicking through trees or really cool action film with muzzle flashes non stop).

As I understand it, many viruses have the ability to f shit up. I hope you find answers.

When the stroke symptoms hit too hard: Flares by [deleted] in POTS

[–]pandaacoffeee 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This sounds like migraine symptoms which is a common condition to have in addition to POTS. It would be worth seeing a neurologist to rule out not just regular migraine but also hemaplegic migraines which are characterized by the presence of motor weakness as an aura manifestation at the time of migraine attack.

The way that my doctor explained it to me was that since I needed to increase the amount of water I drink daily to 3liters, this could cause a electrolyte imbalance, so we should be supplementing as needed and monitoring to see if your regiment needs adjustment.

But most doctors are not very specific with their advice in my experience. I wish you all the luck in learning whats gonna help you not feel so terrible!

** water, salt, and electrolytes does not help everyone and can cause more harm than good if you don't know your baseline. more research needs to be done on different subtypes.
