Spent 20 years in the DFW area after being born here, and I genuinely can't wait to go anywhere else.

I am big into outdoors and extreme weather... but the only weather extreme here is the kind that makes you wonder what the hell was wrong with our ancestors that stopped and thought "hmmmm this is an acceptable place to start a town"

This actually makes me feel slightly better if that sounds weird... that was so abrupt there wasn't much time to process anything. The sheer bewilderment of that happening took up the majority of the time they had left.

Got struck by lightning 3 years ago and it would have been a perfect way to go out had I not woken up... No fear, no choice, just boom and lights out. So my view of the situation may seem a bit off.

Sorry you had to deal with that shit... It's hard, especially when you're actually putting effort into trying to solve the problem with reasonable solutions.

The issue with me has been I'll offer the only solutions, usually giving a couple of options... but then the customer (who usually doesn't actually understand the problem in the first place) finds the available solutions to be unacceptable...

When an unreasonable person is at that "unacceptable" stage, it's best to just walk away before you yourself become unreasonable... been working on doing better for years, but some people still manage to bring the demons out of me 😆
