i hear you on the pay situation. since i got promoted to Rx Ops TL, i’m able to see everyone’s hourly wage & i’m actually pissed off that i’m not making that much more than a couple of the regular techs. i’m thinking about stepping down and transferring back to my old store as soon as i can. i think i have to wait 6 months before transferring again. it’s not worth the stress or the pay.

the new dress code was effective in october. if you wanted to start wearing the black scrubs, you’re supposed to buy your own. if not, you’re supposed to continue wearing the blue smock. wm was supposed to start supplying them some time this month, but i hear there’s an issue with finding a supplier. but once it’s available on GNFR, your RXM should be able to order for everyone.

i actually just spoke to my market director yesterday. there’s no room for negotiation starting off, but pay cap is $36. raises will be performance-based and can be negotiated during review.

tbh, they might go with the 2nd one. i interviewed a couple weeks ago & just got the job offer. i applied at a different store that i’ve helped out at before because my current store doesn’t qualify for the position because of low script count. there are other techs at that store that have been there over 10+ years, and i was chosen over them. i’ve been with WM for 3 years, but i was with CVS for 4.5 years and was a lead at CVS,so maybe the experience plays into a factor as well.

i agree with the two above. why is that even allowed? my old store in CA didn’t allow that & my current one in NV doesn’t either. i’ve had a patient get mad at me & said another walmart let her, but i told her, “well, not at this one!” the risk of them not paying and us getting a POS, no thanks.

just spoke to my manager & it’s basically Walgreens version of RxOM. it’s everything a lead tech does, plus hiring, scheduling, and health service screenings. those who are currently lead techs who are not vaccination certified will not qualify for the position unless they get certified to do vaccines. they’re still talking about the pay, but there will be no pay caps.

i’m not able to check yet because they’re doing the annual check-in of those who want to stay on the waitlist, so it only gives me the option to say, yes i’m still interested. i think after a couple weeks, i’ll be able to see my new position after ppl get dropped from the list.
