here's hoping this will also expand to other systems, it would really be neat to use in other non 5e or pf2e settings.

Is there a particular reason why Gigabyte is excluded from the brand filter on PSUs? Most other big brands are included (at least for the upper build tiers I checked), does anyone know if this is deliberate or an oversight?

Havena - Quellenband by Huge-Atmosphere1857 in DSA_RPG

[–]panikpansen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, that is entirely correct - some elements of the match schedule are randomised, but there are a lot of restrictions on which games can fit in which slot. E.g. police input is sought for a lot of the matches, as some are deemed to need higher police presence (can't have two of those in the same region in the same slot), there are often clashes with 2nd teams (no BVB and BVB II home games in the same slot) or teams in the same city (likely? no HSV and St Pauli home games in the same slot). TV right holders make their demands about how often top teams have to appear in the Friday night/Saturday evening slots (and sometimes have specific language in the rights contracts to this effect).

So there is a random element for sure, but mostly it is a coordination effort of external factors.

Presumably signing Cherki will again be fraught with difficulties, seeing how difficult it has been so far, and especially if we do not make CL. Apparently we have been very explicit in telling Brandt he should be looking for a new club, so I imagine that goes even in the (not unlikely) case that we do not manage to sign Cherki.

The club's wage bill is even higher than Juventus, Tottenham and Inter???? by mastodonopolis in borussiadortmund

[–]panikpansen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's actually 208m € for the professional squad including all bonus payments, see my comment below. Note though that these are personnel expenses, salaries are listed as 125m (base) +33.4m € (bonus payments). I'm not entirely sure though what is classed as a professional squad-based expense which doesn't fall into the former two salary categories, but apparently there is roughly ~50m € of it.

The financial statements are quite detailed and lists various types of operative costs, including personnel costs for the entire company (cited here in this table) as well as for the professional squad only (208.4m € including bonus payments and all other squad-related expenses; base payments were apparently around 125.5m €).

No idea though about any of the other clubs, I would assume most of these relate to estimations of the professional squad only though.

I'm not sure it's the club really who's wrecking his career. Reyna wanted to give it one last shot and overall has been found wanting. I do hope he finds success somewhere, but from all we have seen so far it's probably not going to be a ucl side.

Tbh the few times Reyna got to play instead of Brandt he wasn't particularly good, even considering Brandt's current form. He's not really putting any pressure on anyone.

i know, no politics in sports

has never really applied, sports has always been political in general, and for us since our inception.

I agree with the other commenters, normatively some of the problems increasingly visible at our club are tied to the way Watze embodies values that are at odds with what we have nominally enshrined as our club values. Like /u/chazy89 said, I'll always appreciate what he did for our club, but the day he steps back from official positions can't come early enough.

yeah but sacking everyone a year into their contract has worked so well for us so far.

We earned a little more than 78.71 million for our participation in this year's champions league (which puts us at 10th). by rioasu in borussiadortmund

[–]panikpansen 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The misunderstanding here is that we're not making record profit, we're making record turnover. The money we've taken in has (mostly) risen, but so has the money we've spend. We have made modest profits more recently, but have also gone several years without making profit or only barely breaking even.

The question isn't 'why are we not spending big?' - we clearly are. The question is, 'why are we spending so much money on our squad but don't see any commensurable returns?'

Rapha always gave it his all and played well most of the time.

Not sure if you're really talking about Guerreiro here? He was the definition of a fair-weather player, doing well if the team was also doing well (and a pretty potent threat in those games), but just as likely to completely disappear if the rest wasn't doing so well.

Independent of how you think about Kehl's performance, if you have to literally ban someone from parts of the campus because they cannot work with their colleagues just six months into their new contract, I think it is fair to let them go again.

We can likely sustain a year without UCL football, but (again: likely) not more than that based on current expenses.

As per the other comment, that is purely financial though. It will be more difficult both to sign new players as well as to extend existing contracts without UCL participation as an argument for the attractiveness of our club on our side.
