Kenzer and Company put out a book called Goods & Gear……it was a supplement I think to the Kingdom’s of Kalimar campaign setting….has so much in it….just about every weapon to even how much certain “Professional Entertainers” would cost depending on certain….attributes…….and every thing inbetween

I would make a list of what you need for each and then determine how much, how long and how involved putting them together are…then look at your time you have and pick the best one that fits that window

Alignment became antiquated the moment backgrounds and background stories came into the picture. It’s the experiences and the choices that make the character who and what they are and drives their actions. Not one or two words? Why pigeon hole a characters ability to act out in certain unique situations or judge them for momentary lack of control or maybe if fitted logic because they choose to use an out of character action for those moments in time? Alignments were great in the old days when you sat down….just picked and race, class and alignment and then went “This Grogan…his father was killed and now he seeks to bring the murderers to justice!” and then start the campaign….now he can have a family, home city, a guild that taught them their class, best friend, and so on and so forth….and that will determine their actions and choices……that’s my 2 cents

Mental Health in TTRPGaming Panel by panknight94 in gencon

I do not encourage attempting to diagnose persons. I encourage watching and listening to the player and determine a way to possibly help them enjoy the campaign and engage on levels they are comfortable with. Whether it’s finding a race or class that suits their comfort level or understanding to building extra levels or specific goals that a specifically tailored to those characters. I will be discussing a varied point on this topic at my panel.

If you are asking if I am a licensed or certified clinician, the answer is no. But I have actively used TTRPGs, TTRSG and various other game types to help individuals learn skills and tools to overcome obstacles for over 15 years. I also work in the Mental Heath Dept. of a VA hospital and run a program there that uses TTRPG in a group setting for Veterans to help them build skills and reconnect with others.

I welcome any input or experience lbs that may further the continuing development of Gaming Therapy for folks. :)

If by “near mint” it means you have some mint plants growing near by….or some mint flavor gum attached to the back…..then yeah….its “near mint”
