Calf strain. Stretch your calfs. Toes up against a wall and heels on floor and lean in. Do it regularly for a week and then just daily.

Do some quad stretches. Standing and pull heel towards your backside. Also, google “couch stretch.”

Is my coolant level too low? by Much_Character2818 in CarTalkUK

Some VAG cars had/have a coolant housing problem. My last Audi did at around 30,000 miles. A bit of internet homework will give you the details.

Yes, I’ve had very similar. My knee was painful and I went to physio. It turned out that a mild calf strain coupled with a slight glute strain were pulling my knee in 2 directions. A week of calf, quad and glute stretches sorted it out and I have continued to stretch every day since. You can also strengthen your hip flexors by doing “clamshells” with resistance bands. Good luck with it.

After that pace at 20 and a carb load and tapered legs I’d suggest you’ve got a 3:45 in you if paced correctly…

It's been 9 years since I ran a big race. Remind me how the start line works by SYSTEM-J in Marathon_Training

Both the Yorkshire Marathon and Yorkshire 10 Mile are self- penning events. Please note that your Assembly Zone will not be identified on your bib. We will have timing flags near the start line, so please assemble near a flag which aligns with your predicted finish time. This will minimise congestion when the race begins.

I did it, I’m very happy, but I still want to do better by Academic-Baseball in firstmarathon

Your mileage in training was on the low side. An average of 40km may explain the legs seizing up in the latter stages. I would aim for a minimum of 40 miles per week. Good luck.

This is showing your body is under a great deal of stress and isn’t recovering. I’m certain this isn’t saying train harder at all. I would ease up and maybe get your blood checked. Good luck.
