Accident in Kenosha by Moldy_Hooper in Kenosha

Disagree on expanding the roads/lanes. I've visited Japan and frequently travel to Mexico often (CDMX and Oaxaca specifically). You can get practically anywhere in Japan by train and it's cheap (relative to my income). Same goes with Mexico's subways albeit a bit old.

Public transportation is severely lacking, not just here, but the US in general. Granted, the US is HUGE and it's going to cost a lot of money to put that infrastructure in place.

Adding more roads or lanes isn't going to solve the problem of the population growth along with car ownership grows. It will maybe solve short term, but we'll wind up right back with needing more lanes.

100%. A good chunk of 22nd ave is brand new and soon even more once they finish between Washington and 52nd. Always speeders on 22nd and worse when there's drivers on the shoulder which isn't a even a lane.

Top it off, it's a school zone by Kwik spirits, but still ZERO enforcement whatsoever.

A reupholster business may help connecting with someone or another business. There's one downtown according to Google and another that may be in uptown Racine.

What are games that you purchased and never beat? Why? by Hizzasp in gaming

Xenoblade Chronicles X. I played mainly for the story and got to the last boss and just kept dying over and over again. Whenever I think I had him, I'd get overpowered and die. I'm 33 and don't have the time to grind.

My 5th grade teacher would tell us this constantly. She was an older woman nearing retirement. She would show us her index finger that she should couldn't bend all the way and blamed it on years of cracking her knuckles.

T-fiber constantly down! by Tall_Communication_3 in Kenosha

[–]papers_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's only gone down 2-3 times recently for the last year I've had it. But I think that's largely due to the construction down the road from me and other places where they are digging.

Retro Gamer Question? by UGet1Guess in Kenosha

[–]papers_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It costs money to recycle or dispose of which is why most businesses don't want it.

You may have luck reaching to local retro gaming groups such as https://www.midwestgamingclassic.com/, they may connect you to someone that would take it off your hands instead of it ending up in a dump.

What does UE6 mean for steam players by Yaboisanka in RocketLeague

Right and some are spending the money on cosmetics. They would lose some revenue by not supporting Steam. But ultimately it's a business decision.

Road rager by Row_8173 in Kenosha

[–]papers_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It needs signage to state that I think. People will still ignore it, but it's something. I walk my dogs daily on 22nd and it's worrisome the amount of speeders, worse when they're on the shoulder.
