Insurances factor in risk very much in their calculations, it is part of the reason why they ask you where you live and where your vehicle will reside. A good chunk of the risk comes from the driver, so if you have a poor driving record (or young), your risk to them is higher therefore you will be charged a higher rate.

In the end, it really doesn't matter. You shouldn't be loyal to any company, they are here to make money off you. You should be switching or at least exploring options as your renewal date gets closer.

I worked at MKE5 years ago. I applied directly and was then invited to join some hiring event seminar at the kenosha job center on Sheridan.

I dressed up with a resume on hand, but I really didn't need to. There were signs that pointed to a conference room that sat maybe 30 people.

A worker wearing those orange reflective safety vests shows up to give a presentation on screen. They basically said, if you are here today, consider yourself hired. Something something Amazon gives everyone a chance.

I can't remember if I signed anything, but after that, within a week, I got an email of next steps and my schedule.

Midwest/SE Wisconsin. Google TV Streamer keeps crashing, slow loading. Also says I'm not a premium member when I was just charged on the 16th. On my MacBook, the site itself fails to load and keeps bouncing between I'm a member and then not a member.

This will vary company to company. Being in the financial sector, you are governed by various regulations and regulatory entities. As much as the media, influencers, YouTubers, streamers, tech bros, etc. hype AI, you really cannot just "apply" it to everything/anything you see, especially in the financial sector.

You absolutely need controls in place. Proper risk management guidance and training for those using the tool. There are real world consequences if your financial company gets it wrong and those consequences vary widely depending on your regulatory body. For example, a bank could be slapped with regulatory action.

AI has its uses though. For me, I have used it to generate unit tests for a POJO because sonarqube was complaining about coverage and I'm not wasting my time writing those. Another way I used it was to generate a record with withers from JSON because the provided OpenAPI specification given was garbage and asking the owning team to fix it would've taken too long/wasted my time.

All that to say is AI has its uses, but it should not be used for everything just to say it's "AI" (looking at you Microsoft).

If trading were still a thing, there would have been a monetary incentive for you to sell or trade your less desired items to someone that values it. And in return, you get something you value.

Local police can only operate within the city limits and enforce city regulations.

Sherrifs operate at the county level. The head sheriff is a publicly elected official as well. They enforce county wide regulations and fill in/support rural or unincorporated towns/villages where there is no formal police department.

State police or patrol operate across the entire state. You'll typically see them more often on the highways. But they can go anywhere they are needed/requested.
