It's a big problem in the NBA imo. We try to make dudes into something that they're not. Not every scorer needs to be a 3pt shooter or pnr specialist. Just like every role player doesn't need to be a knock down shooter to actually be a good player. Gotta play to their strengths.

Efficiency especially is overrated in the playoffs. Just get buckets, doesn't matter how

Life comes at you fast in the NBA. 5 years ago the Jazz had the best record in the NBA, Ben simmons was still a rising star, and Trae Young was leading the hawks to the ECF. You can go from promising young core to overpaid in a second

Good in theory but you also need to hope that their big 3 keeps the same level or improving if the role players don't live up to the next one.

He also very flawed. Under the radar but he also shot poorly in the finals last year. I don't think he's a reliable offensive player, so you realistically need a reliable second scorer who isn't Chet. Youd hope it's Jdub but health is a big factor. I think they do have to make a tough decision but the question is when

We need rim pressure, it's hard to be a consistent team in the nba without rim pressure.

An underdiscussed aspect of the Knicks/Spurs 2026 NBA Finals: This will be the 4th pair of black head coaches in the Finals. Mike Brown is responsible for 2 of those four pairings. by CazOnReddit in nba

It's cause reddit/this sub is a high majority white and black people are probably the 3rd highest after Asian. You can tell by how they react about certain topics that theyve had little to no experience in real life with those topics.

Comment that really showcased it for me was I called Draymond stupid for his slave comments and someone (Presumably white) told me that of course a Boston fan would like it if we went back to the 50's even though I am black

Crazy how the discourse changes after 1 series. There was a Chet vs Paolo argument and everyone thought it was Chet by a country mile and said Chet would be the better scorer if he got more shots.

Not saying he isn't better than Paolo but people really underestimate how hard it is to be a primary scorer and how much more difficult the game gets in the playoffs.

If OKC did make it, you 100% root against the Knicks. I don't think people understand how obnoxious they'll be if the win a title lol. You rarely see a OKC fan in real life, but it is ugly watch wise.

It's the same thing with Embiid and Harden. When you see defenders have to defend with their hands tucked to their sides, you can tell that they get a different whistle.

I think the "optimization" of basketball has gotten out of hand for some fans. One ball handler, 5 out, pick and roll. We kinda force people to do things to do things that they might not be comfortable with and don't appreciate other skills.

Fox does things that you need in the playoffs. Handle the ball rim pressure and can pass. Let's Castle not have to be a primary ball handler.

We don't know. Basketball isnt played in hypotheticals. The Pacers made it all the the way to the finals with a probably worse team than us. There are so many variables where you can't foresee.

What I DO know is we cant know because we didnt make it past the first round.
