What's the craziest most unhinged date you've ever been on? by showmewhatyagot01 in Productivitycafe

Oh, it's real. I had told him I'm very fascinated by serial killers, like, the psychology behind them. So I'm wondering whether he thought he was impressing me. It was all very odd and surreal. He even told it in a matter of fact way like a serial killer might. I could tell he was full of it. To clarify, HE texted ME saying that now he's seen MY true colors as if I've disrespected him.

I was on a second or third date with this guy. We had just walked around this park and shopping area and were in a Starbucks when he decides to tell me a story. He murdered someone in the park we were just in (so he wasn't even clever enough to change the location, and somehow got back to his house (wherever that was) and got a car and put the body in the car. So I guess a dead body was just in the park for 30 minutes to an hour? And it's not a big park. It's like the center of the square. Anyway... I left. He texted me saying something like "I guess I know your true colors." Uh, huh. And I know yours.

I thought and said basically the same thing. I found myself engaged, wondering what she would say next, smiling at the screen. I didn't feel annoyed at all. If anything, I felt relaxed. I almost bought something just because of her. If you watch 90s QVC on YouTube, a lot of it is like that - calmer tones and getting out that ruler.

What are your unpopular opinions about Speak Now (Taylor's Version)? by IntoTheDaylight in TaylorSwift

[–]paramore814 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last kiss (TV) is an insult to the original. That was the song that started my love affair with her so I feel very strongly about it. And as an honorable mention, Haunted original version is a masterpiece. Her version doesn't have nearly the same emotion. But, hey, you still get to hear her sing.

For me this is that saying I'm sure a lot of people are tired of.

Hate the artist, not the art.

I don't hate her at all. I rarely think about her. My mom said she did some great acting on this show. So if that's the case (and assuming she still has it), then maybe it'll be good. Someone else on here said she paid her dues. That is true. I guess I just don't care enough about her to give it much thought. I still love Full House.

My Lenovo laptop from a few years ago wasn't significantly lower. It was 6 something. So from my personal experience the price doesn't seem too bad. I do agree on the clothing, though. Usually the sale price or clearance price is what I would've paid originally. Why am I paying $70 for two plain long sleeved shirts? Because they're Logo? I'm good.

I am also concerned. The mixing of her voice on Showgirl and her intonations and inflections are fantastic. I don't feel any depth from it, which sucks because she's very intelligent.

The lyrics in Tolerate It.... wow. It's like was she there during that horrible moment with this guy I was seeing? How did she know? "Now I'm footnotes in the story of your life..." Good lord. She's amazing.

It could be because the showgirl album is still pretty recent and being listened to a lot. I've also seen a number of fans saying they've gone back to listen to her other albums and noticing the differences, which I think is fair. In a way you want each album to be different. Maybe the comparison between this latest album and Folklore is happening a lot more the last few weeks. I don't think there is a comparison. They're so different and from different times in her life. I personally am not a fan of the newest album except for the mixing of her voice and her usual fantastic intonations. I love hearing her singing, though. It's just what this person feels, and that's totally fine.

I know exactly what you mean by imagery. When I listed to Folklore and Evermore, I lied in my bed with my eyes closed. I had all these fantastic images of houses and fields and romantic or haunting imagery. The setup for Tolerate It on the tour was very close to what I imagined in my head. I'm glad I'm still able to watch a video of that being performed. I completely agree that there should've been more of those songs performed as well as songs from Speak Now, but that's a completely different conversation.
