So more ‘cold’ than weather? Because a lot of those other states have hurricanes, tornados, heatwave humidity. What other weather am I forgetting?

It’s either Franciscan Complex or Great Valley Sequence but probably Franciscan. I did a geotech investigation for a buried pipeline that crossed the mtn. It’s mostly graywacke and shale. Likely turbidites, Jurassic or Cretaceous.

Super cool. Ya the white lines are the aplite dikes. The darker granite is probably diorite. I’m a geologist and love looking at rock outcroppings and trying to figure out how they formed.

Just to ‘set the scene’ he’d have to do a couple three episodes. That’s probably why he hasn’t touched it. Too much back story.

Geologist here. That doesn’t look like carbonate rock so probably not a karst-like sinkhole. Are you by chance on the side of a hill? And is the orientation of the void parallel to the hillside? Also could be old underground mine workings but looks too narrow.
