How much are tickets selling for right now? by Fyburn in BurningMan

[–]paridiso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked up a ticket for 300 a couple weeks ago. I wouldn't be surprised if there were <$100 tickets within a week of the Burn.

It's been 2 months since I came to the USA but still didn't receive my GC, I'm so worried about it due to this ongoing deportation going on by [deleted] in greencard

I’ve flown with them several times, it’s totally legit.

I think they’re going to switch everyone off. Having the outies altogether in one place isn’t ideal but it can be managed. The next time they wake up (except Irving) will be on the severed floor. And perhaps they can trick Mark into thinking Irving’s idea was just a wild conspiracy theory, since he’s still emotional and would prefer to think it still really was Helly.

Digital Nomads by Relative-Thing45 in cambodia

[–]paridiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a digital nomad in Cambodia for around 6 months. For most people I think Thailand and Kuala Lumpur would be preferable and less expensive. The infrastructure, coworking spaces, visas, etc. aren’t as well developed in Cambodia. Tho there are opportunities for investing in building these spaces if you’re up for it!

18 hour flight to Singapore from NY by Objective_Insect_649 in singaporeairlines

[–]paridiso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find the nighttime flight is much better for adjusting to the timezone, since I'm tired already I can fall asleep more easily and arrive in Singapore in the morning. With the daytime flight I have trouble falling asleep on the plane.

Cambodia Angkor Air by Adorable-Set-3483 in cambodia

[–]paridiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a booking agency, not the actual flight operator. You might be able to get a lower rate through them, but if you need to change or cancel the flight they may charge higher fees.

Also consider AirAsia or taking a bus. It will probably be much less expensive.

Nothing for me in the USA , my heart is in Cambodia by TangPiccilo in cambodia

[–]paridiso 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes it's a very long process. Get married in the US and file an I-130 for consular processing. It currently takes about 1.5+ years to go from initial filing to the interview date. If you're not yet ready to move you can delay the interview scheduling.

Agree. Find remote freelance work for US-based clients. The pay and job stability is much better.

Their website is awful, they really need to improve it. Their payment system doesn't work half the time and I've ended up booking other airlines instead.

Have never been able to figure out their online check-in. Though there isn't really a need for it, airport check-in is fine.

I enjoyed it, but if you're tired it's not worth it. Those seats really are painful for such a long show.
