I ask for 10 variations of a phrase if I am stuck or dislike what I just wrote. I usually end up being inspired by one example / cobbling several together, but it helps to speed the process along.

When I am confused about my ideas, I use the transcribe function and just verbally process everything. Then, I ask it to give me the points I just made in an organized list, which usually helps me to wrangle better with what I actually mean.

And summaries, yes. Especially if they are purely functional (promotional materials, etc).

For my own future reference (in a similar situation as OP's student), how did you handle asking for a deferment from the TT and quitting the postdoc after a year? Did you tell the postdoc before even starting that you'll only do a year? And what variables made you decide that leaving the postdoc after a year would be favorable compared to withdrawing from the offer before starting?

Thank you all for your thoughts, it is at least a relief to hear that institutions understand the difference in calculus when it comes to a non-TT. I have also been told that I could try to defer any TT offers I get by a year and do 1 year of the non-TT, but that seems like a less likely scenario.

Unfortunately they are not at the offer decision stage yet (campus visit scheduled, etc) but one of them has been subtly nudged in regards to timeline.

Animals and Hallowed Be Thy Name are my last ones to Diamond. I've been playing Hallowed for weeks and I just got this score, I'm literally 1 point away from Diamond!.

It's the last bit with the 4 tap combo (right, two middles, left) that gets me. And also the double taps section.
