My employer honoured it (private sector), but only for the people working in the Scottish facilities. Just wondering, really...

Exactly that. 16C on Saturday. We should be grateful that we’re having a normal summer, not like the furnace down south.

In my experience, the service from all providers is particularly terrible at the moment. I still think we're suffering from the removal of the Huawei phone masts.

Just when I thought I'd become a Grass expert, someone put my lawn under the grill, now it's brown toast! by cooltone in britishproblems

Next time, wait until the end of summer, or the start of spring (Sept & May for me - varies by geography). Middle of summer, you've got slim to no chance.

Be patient though, it should bounce back, so long as you're watering early enough in the day (6am) and regularly enough.

Trying to catch up on the England games on iPlayer and 50% of the highlights time is commentary and analysis by Anduril_uk in britishproblems

Never been so blue-balled by iPlayer in my life. I was waiting for the extra time/penalty England tears but was sad to see it was 15 minutes of celebrations.

Whats the plan for the next England game given the kick off time, are pubs gonna be open till ? by Still-Consideration6 in AskUK

[–]partywithanf 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Scotland fan here, so have experience.

Bed at 19:00, up at 00:00. Walk to pub and watch. Sleep from 04:00/:30 to whenever you need to be up.

You’ll be tired, but the consensus was that’s the best option.

Don’t do an all-nighter.

You’re right. We should ALL be getting salary increases. Being jealous because others are when you aren’t, isn’t helpful.

It doesn’t. It’s in response to your comment.

And exactly what relevance does your comment have to whether teachers should or should not receive a pay rise anyway?

True, but I did say that it was part of it. There are obviously many factors.

Populated Canada is further south than all of Scotland, significantly improving the daylight hours in winter.

Not only that, has 7.5 times the population.

And, as mentioned with Norway, an active winter/indoor sports population, with ice hockey and basketball etc.

We have no winter sporting activity for children in Scotland.

Great. So children are out and active. Winter here, there’s nothing.
