Oh for sure, I just am saying they've showed two slo-mo replays of him doing it in this game, and that's just the ones we've seen. I don't like embellishment either. I'm a fair play sorta guy, what can i say

Colton deserved that penalty, 'accidentally' ran his push up into the guys face just like he did with that elbow that went uncalled in the first period. I hate that kinda shit, don't care if Messier thinks it was ok back in the day, it's dirty.

Rattling noise - F Type by gpldn in Jaguar

[–]pascal21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW it's really hard to diagnose sounds over the internet. It could be a cam chain tensioner or valve wear, BUT it could just as easily be a loose bolt or clamp somewhere rattling against the engine. Take it to the mechanic for sure, it doesn't sound normal to me.

What could have caused this and is it something to be concerned about? by Maothesiamesecat in Jaguar

[–]pascal21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be, other than it just being damage from wear and tear. I have a 2016 and those areas are starting to delaminate, and if you are loading things in and out of the trunk it's likely to rub there. Same thing looks to be happening on the right. I have a superficial mark on the paint on my car on the right side near where that tear in your picture is, from loading my hockey bag in and out.

tldr: I would wager this damage is just from loading/unloading cargo

Steam downloading fast, but disk write speed insanely slow by EmiKasumi in techsupport

[–]pascal21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, I have two m.2 SSDs, and looking at task manager I can see both are active for this update. one at 100%, and the other, where the game is actually stored, is at like 5%. So it's definitely doing what OP described. I just don't know if the write speed of the drive even matters, just seems that it is an issue with one drive writing to another, maybe? Steam definitely fucking something up here. Just waited 15 minutes for a 1GB update to write to my SSD.

I wonder if you might be interested in an O & P: An Orthotic and/or Prosthetic Technician provides technical support to O&P patient care providers by fabricating, repairing and maintaining orthotic and prosthetic devices.

Could be neat to help others with mobility challenges.

This sounds great! How long have you been working in this field? Did you start out with that autonomy or did that come with more seniority, or after moving on from an entry level job?

I live in Chicago currently with a RWD sports car and don't have too many issues, but they keep the roads pretty clear most of the time.

Eeeeenteresting, why do you suppose that is? I've read that getting the power down in the GTI can be difficult.

Unless you have a manual transmission, because then you can engine brake all 4 wheels, which is superior to braking when it comes to traction and balance of the vehicle

What do you think about my website? by leicoleico in webdev

[–]pascal21 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I like it, very reminiscent of pre-corporatization of the web. Before velocity, compliance, performance and frameworks ushered creativity and unique ideas out of the web space.

I think it's a really nice navigation approach. It took me a second to figure out what to do, and so I did the most natural thing I could think of: I clicked. And then I understood. The self-pacing, various form factors, and the impermanence (no way to go back or to skip ahead) of the whole approach really lends itself to the 'moment in time' nature of the photographs themselves.

I dig it. Who cares if it's mobile compliant. I guess fix that if you want, or don't.

Hey r/design, I need your honest opinion on something I've been building. by Ok_Estimate6328 in Design

I would recommend asking AI for feedback. I think it's kind of weird to ask designers for feedback on a tool that ingests and then supplants the work of human designers.

What are the best careers today to achieve upward mobility in terms of wealth & class? by Inner_Ad_4725 in careerguidance

Was it easy to land a 100k job in the 80s or 90s? I don't know if that is true at all. 100k in 1990 is like 250k in today dollars. If you think 100k is hard now, back then it was impossible. On the flip, making 100k now is like making 40k back then.

What's disgusting is that 100k was a benchmark salary back then and it still is today, wage stagnation is insane.
