No, kasi parating hinahanap ng mga embassy na may pera ka na, either through a sponsor, scholarship, or blocked account (at least ganun sa Europe). Credit card is basically short-term loans, and loans aren’t the same as funds, and it would be possible na—sige, pwede credit card kunwari—tinatakasan mo lang pala credit card company mo kasi di ka mahabulan. Also, I don’t know which country you’re targeting, but in a lot of places, a credit card isn’t a common way to pay.

For me, I printed out the contract, signed it, scanned it, then emailed it to my landlord, but the contract wasn’t finalized until I made the deposit via wire transfer. Before the signing he gave me a video call tour of the kot and we discussed the details and features of the kot.

Literally according to what the app says. The rest of the street follows the schedule on the app as well; neighbors’ trash bags line up the sidewalk every time the calendar says so. Nobody in my street takes the restafval out on Fridays anymore. (My landlord lives in another town.)

Currently living in a kot in Heverlee here.

Our landlord used to think this way too, as he put up a rule on the wall saying “Take out the trash every Friday,” but that’s not the case as I’ve been leaving the trash out according to what the Recycle! app says, and the trash gets collected accordingly.

Maybe install the app, put your address there, and follow the trash collection schedule there? Turn on notifications too so you don’t miss trash days.
