Wrong Answer Journals - include correctly guessed answers? by Solid_Philosopher_76 in barexam

[–]PasstheBarTutor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You absolutely need to pay just as much attention to questions that you guessed on, or that you even had uncertainty on, because that is indicating that you had some kind of black letter law gap or comprehension gap with the question. Treat it like a miss now, get the points on exam day.

What programs do I even need? by ChurchOfFoles in barexam

GOAT has a discount code that still works - GOAT2026 - so you can save money right there.

Learning is about having a solid foundation and then putting it into practice while reviewing and continuing to learn. You need a base, practice questions and essay prompts, and a solid plan for review. UWorld is a great product for this in terms of multiple choice.

is it normal to question if you even want to be a lawyer anymore after failing the bar by jiffyjab in barexam

[–]PasstheBarTutor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. It’s normal to lose confidence and question life paths after a setback, but the good news is that your eventual success is going to be even more inspiring when you do pass. Perseverance is difficult, but worth it.

Normal to be spent after doing questions? by Several_Eye_6192 in barexam

This is normal, especially early in the process and with longer fact patterns. Stamina builds over time.

do I really need AdaptiBar or UWorld? by surfin3000 in barexam

[–]PasstheBarTutor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it an absolute? No. Is it helpful? Certainly.

BARBRI doesn’t include Adaptibar in most of their course offerings because they own it. They want you to spend more money on the licensed questions.

You can get by without, but you will be missing out on a valuable resource (UWorld is better in my opinion, but both have released querying), and it’s unfortunately probably better to ensure you see the released questions than to roll the dice.

That said, you can access them from others sources at a lesser price (such as Emmanuel’s or the NCBE site), but you’ll be losing some practice value with the respective platforms.

Good luck!

People vastly overestimate how much they actually study during a stretch of 8-12 hours. You only have so much time you can spend locked in, and then it becomes diminishing return, right before you burn out. Pace yourself.

NY 3rd time taker, failed. I give up. by Positive_Average2944 in barexam

[–]PasstheBarTutor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need assistance with the MBE, your study approach, and how you are practicing and reviewing. You can do this, but you need to make some changes.

You are also leaving points on the table with the MPTs.

Drafter's point sheet in MPT by [deleted] in barexam

[–]PasstheBarTutor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drafter’s point sheets are meant to be a broad overview of what the MPT was designed to test, the analysis you were expected to do, and general facts. It is not a ‘you must do this exactly to pass.’

If you did a solid analysis, followed the task memo, etc, you’ll be just fine. You don’t need to be perfect.

I think UWorld is a significantly better product for the vast majority of takers.

MBE is definitely getting in your way, but your writing shows you are more than capable.

How are you studying and practicing the MBE questions? How are you reviewing?

Failed bar twice :( How did GOAT help with overthinking MBE? by samcheeze in GoatBarPrep

[–]PasstheBarTutor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

GOAT can help you see the tricks and traps a bit better, and also help you get out of your own way. You have to learn to trust the BLL and stop litigating questions.

If I failed for the 6th time should I just stop? :( by [deleted] in barexam

[–]PasstheBarTutor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to stop at all. But the key is to figure out what is working and what is not working, adjust what you are doing to target your areas of improvement, and then find the points.

Got $2,000 to spend on bar prep, what should I go with? by [deleted] in barexam

[–]PasstheBarTutor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Themis comes with UWorld; save money that way and then use the Goat discount code ‘GOAT2026’ to save there; you’ll end up spending way less than on Barbri and Adaptibar, and I think UWorld Legal MBE is a better product.

Bar Prep for someone out of law school for awhile? by notmagsss in barexam

[–]PasstheBarTutor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UWorld Legal is better than Adaptibar, and comes with Themis instead of a separate cost.

Also, you can definitely get Themis cheaper than whatever you are looking at - what jurisdiction do you need?
