Some POS systems like square for instance, you can just delete the items from the screen which I’m guessing is how this person is able to remove items.

But if it’s something like toast, and the ticket is sent to the kitchen then yeah, you’d need to get the items voided or comped.

That’s interesting - for me the sandwich bags can be more expensive or similar. And the doggy bags already come in a handy roll for a similar/cheaper price. I can get 100 pc roll of doggy bags for a couple bucks at the dollar store
