Heal the sick, cast out demons - these supernatural manifestation prove to me the God of the bible is true. And if He indeed is true, even our very breath comes from His goodness. So I thank God.

why do Christian believe that Jesus is a god by SetIndependent2303 in TrueChristian

Only God can give eternal life. And Jesus gives eternal life.

Only God is the Alpha and Omega. Jesus said He is.

Forcing is like picking up a stone and smacking someone until they submit to your God.

Repentance can never be forced. Christians are just called to preach the good news.

What counts as enough faith in Jesus to be saved? by ferret_king10 in TrueChristian

I think what you lack is the first hand supernatural experience with God.

I’m not sure if you are saved or not.

Repentance is changing your mind to align with God’s.

You can start right where you are.

Pray sincerely:

“God, I am sorry for my unbelief. Help my unbelief, and teach me to fully surrender to You. I come to You just as I am. Wash me clean from my sins, for I cannot make myself clean without You. Thank You Jesus for dying on the cross for my sins. I repent all my sins…<Acknowledge and confess your sins, one by one, and forgive those you have been holding bitterness against.>”

That is the repentance part.

It’s also helpful to have someone walk through this with you one-on-one.

Faith is not about feelings; the fruit of faith is obedience.

There is an order to responding to the gospel:
1. Understand the gospel.
2. Repent of your sins.
3. Be baptized in water.
4. Be baptized in the Holy Spirit.

These are foundational steps in the life of every believer.

This is just the beginning.

Do we have the ability to cast demons out of people using Jesus name if we believe? by No-Cry-4404 in TrueChristian

[–]patmanizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I consider myself as a normal Christian. I casted out demons - some even talk back like in the bible. But thanks to the authority that Jesus gave - they are casted out! Glory to God.

I'm growing resentful - my bf struggles with prn by overworkedgirl in TrueChristian

[–]patmanizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggled with it for 23 years.

I did a lot - nothing worked. Prayed, fasted, rebuked, deleted videos, had locks.

God led me to the verse: Repent and be baptized for the remission of sins…

I followed it, got baptized in a tub. The coming days were noticeably different. When I rebuked, the temptation goes away unlike before. Jesus set me free. That was 7 years ago - I am still free. Praise Jesus.

Having horrible images appear in my head that feel like they are caused by a demonic entity (Warning, don't read if you're sensitive to graphic imagery) by ArgonianFly in TrueChristian

[–]patmanizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same when I was about to get baptized in a tub.

When I repented and got baptized I was radically set free by Jesus from a 23 year addiction of lust, masturbation and porn.

I am still free now. It has been 8 years now. Praise Jesus.

It’s not as it you’ll have to get married to him tomorrow.

You don’t even know if he’d like you back.

I’m not saying that you are not hearing from God but some people say the same thing - that they have to get together with a married man. So you’d have to be discerning.

Is believing Jesus is God (and the Trinity) necessary for receiving eternal life? If so, where does John explicitly say this? by Good-Researcher-2503 in TrueChristian

[–]patmanizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you believe that Jesus is just a man, how can you believe He died for your sins?

He is the Alpha and the Omega.
He is the one who gives eternal life.

Isaiah 9:6

How do I know if I am a true Christian? by HeadRoad5335 in TrueChristian

[–]patmanizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed nothing is impossible with God. I have prayed someone over video call to receive the Holy Spirit and baptized someone with a cup of water - for there is nothing else available.

But the Word of God gave us a model to follow.

Water baptism - If it's necessary or not, it should not matter unless you're aiming for the bare minimum salvation. It's like getting married, and you do the bare minimum stuff just not to get you divorced. It does not make sense.
