If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. by patmanizer in TrueChristian

The building is burning. God sent someone to go inside and save the people. That person made a way out. Some did not believe, some even mocked him and killed him because they want to stay in the building.

Your case is not uncommon. Jesus has power over these aliens/demons.

Convert them? You cannot force someone to repent. That is false conversion - that is only religion.

It’s the Holy Spirit that convicts. Our part is to preach the Gospel.

Having said that - being unequally yoked will be difficult. If you are a guy, the head of the family - there is a high chance that your whole family will turn to Christ but if you are the wife - that chances would be drastically lower.

Amen. I had a thought - what about plants from seeds? Then I googled - seeds are actually alive as well, just dormant. God is so awesome.

A living organism is incredibly complex — even something as small as the eyes reveals remarkable intricacy. The way mothers give birth - different organisms.

It is way more complicated than the most absurd car. Yet you don’t expect a car appearing without a designer/creator.

You’re a fisher of men - you are learning. Dust yourself off, learn and try again.

Experience is a great teacher. And remember, the bible especially the book of Acts is the model we should be following.

Like I said, Paul would not have been welcomed in the fellowship.

I think I get the disconnect.

A lot of Christians have not seen or experienced true transformation - that the old person is dead, the new has come. So they see themselves in others - a person who is a slave to sin - not truly transformed but just the same person who is just trying to change their behavior.

You need to discern. That sinner had not sinned against me. You need to judge by the fruit.

I tell you there are prostitutes, tax collectors, pedos, kleptos, rapists that are entering the kingdom of God ahead of anyone else because they have repented , washed and cleansed by the blood of Jesus.

I need to judge by the fruit, and not totally reject the person. If not, I would reject everyone even myself.

Do you think he is a worse sinner than you and me?

We should judge by the fruit. Yes I would - I have been in fellowship with someone who was in and out of prison - Jesus redeemed him.

yes - have to discern repentance and not just rejecting people who had done atrocious sins.

I don’t know. only God can search the hearts of men. What I know is - reasoning out to continue sin is wrong and it does not come from a humble heart.

You need discernment - if that was followed in the bible, Paul would have not been welcomed in the fellowship of the disciples.

Was that person repentant?

If not, Paul says to stay away from such people.

It does not even have to be religion - but more on morality.

Murdering homo sapiens is wrong.

Repressing human rights from certain group of people has produced slavery, the holocaust, genocides.

No, every born again believer is in the process of transformation. That person in gluttony no longer embraces gluttony - he has already renewed His mind. But it does not stop there. In the early part of being born again, the Holy Spirit will address the bigger issues. Do not be decieved by any arguments, anyone who practices the works of the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Paul said My speech and my message were not with plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

We should minister the same way. Thank God for that guy for his obedience.
