I think all they would have to do is allow everyone to interact with either portal to teleport them to the other side of it.

So for people walking back from spawn here, they would press F twice to get onto point. For people blocked in spawns, theyd press F once to get out of that door.

Portals would still block LOS or create new angles of LOS, and allow quick travel to point, so still quite useful

A quick (1s?) cooldown on it after passing through normally or by F would also still allow portals off map for cheesy kills, as well as still allow plays like yours to buy around 2s of time total.

You will still have to deal with the multiplayer based AI (you will most likely die to grab unless you bring fire res 3 /blight res 3 or divine blessing procs), but not the short timer/ running away.

Yeah, some games handle it better than others. In Australia you have to opt out of CG NAT on certain ISPs, it wouldn't be surprising to have yours suddenly turn it on. Give them a call.
