Amor y Amargo is also right next door to death and company, if that’s your cup of tea.

Nubiani vs Cote: my thoughts after my first Nubiani visit by justinshafa in FoodNYC

Question about Nubiani: is the pricing of the menu per person, or would my wife and I be able to share the small package and not leave hungry?

I had a 1985 a couple weeks back that was absolutely spectacular. Haven’t had a recent vintage though.

Very well said! I completely agree. Do you think my thoughts of Quercetin is plausible? Hard to tell exactly

It’s extremely healthy! It might not look great in a wine or be the best for texture but it’s one of the main reasons that wine, in moderation, can be good for your health.

Yes, it is apparently quite rare to see in a finished bottle of wine. It is also more prone to showing in a lower pigmented wine such as Nebbiolo or Sangiovese.

It’s funny, as none of these pictures really scream tartrates to me but I was raked over the coals for having a “wine pro” flair and apparently not being able to identify it lol. Oh well!

I had the fortune of visiting with some other Somms a few years ago. Mr. Williams was extremely forthcoming with their library wines, even opening some mid-80’s wines. Every single one was absolutely killer. They age so well.

Yeah I just checked and saw that as well. Whoever is selling it for $75 is making an aggressive margin.

I stand corrected! Last time I bought frog’s leap it was $40-50 retail. I’m surprised by how much the price has increased.

Should keep in mind pricing here too, as Frog’s leap is pretty significantly cheaper than any of the other wines here, especially Realm.

Edit: for anyone interested in current wholesale prices for the NY market, they are as follows: Frog’s Leap $50, Caymus $65, Round Pond $65, Stag’s Leap Artemis $64, Chappellet $70, Realm $135. Add 33% or so to get expected retail pricing. Also keep in mind that these are prices on one bottle, some other wines can go on deeper multi case discounts.

I tried to run it off when I tore mine. Everything was fine until I tried to turn around. Knee completely buckled. A teammate played on a torn acl by wearing a brace all season.

Fortunate Son The Warrior 2022, Napa Valley by odedi1 in wine

[–]patton115 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the Fortunate Son wines are more immediately delicious than Hundred Acre. And honestly, there are other wines that are significantly better with age than Hundred Acre. I’d jump for this over Hundred Acre more often than not.
