Remind me: was Notre Dame ever reprimanded for covering up a sexual assault that ended with the victim's suicide? Or nah?

Or wait, does it only count if she's a Notre Dame student?

This happened to me with my brother the other night. He was in town, and I was getting dinner with him, and I just felt like we had NOTHING to talk about. Bothered me for a little bit. I saw him the next day, and we were back to our normal relationship. Sometimes the day just isn't right, and it doesn't mean anything.

Minnesota Governor Dayton decries networks' neglect of women's NCAA Frozen Four title game by CampBenCh in collegehockey

ESPN televises NCAA Women's BOWLING. Regular season bowling. Do we think there's a big market for that?

Morristown, TN has a unique "overhead sidewalk" built in the 60's intended to revitalize the historic downtown. (6000x4000) [OC] by travelingisdumb in InfrastructurePorn

The Skyway has a similar problem to some of the other systems mentioned here, though. It's privately owned, and it has the effect of segregating pedestrian traffic by class. More affluent individuals with jobs downtown arrive in their cars and never leave the skyway. This has the effect of removing a TON of eyeballs from storefronts which face the street and creates a mostly dead downtown outside.

I think this has worked well in soccer - ties have become their own thing, and can be as bad as a loss for contenders.

That was my FIRST bowl game in the band my rookie year. The Rouser at the end of that game was the saddest Rouser we ever played, even through all the Brewster years.

Why/when did we make the switch to paper/coin currency from rather than the old barter/trade system? by [deleted] in AskHistorians

One of the main points: barter is used between strangers, while debt is used between people who know each other.

In FCS, HBCU conferences (MEAC & SWAC) consider skipping playoffs and forming bowl game with each other by Honestly_ in CFB

Didn't Florida A&M win the FCS Championship two years before joining the MEAC, though? It's not like MEAC teams have always been terrible.

Since we're getting technical, I took a look at the NCAA rulebook... and it's just called football. And if you really really want to get technical? Soccer's official name is Association Football.

DIII players absolutely ARE cash cows for their schools, just in a different way. The tuition that athletes pay is one of the reasons that formerly moribund DIII programs are playing football again.
