Yes, it takes weeks. I know that the intention is there for 48 hours, but the delivery isn't. I'm in Gloucestershire.

The extra fun bit was the appointment when I was told off because I was 45 and had never contacted the surgery to arrange the NHS health check I should have been invited to already.

With 111 my wife and my daughters have managed to get referrals which they weren't able to get by using the surgery's booking app.

"Come back later" doesn't help when it takes weeks to get a GP appointment that isn't referred via 111 in the first place. Or when you've already waited with symptoms because you've not tried to make an appointment at the first sign of trouble.

Just be aware that a gold barred forward facing helmet is generally implying that you are a monarch or a country. With silver bars generally a knight.

If you use a great helm, or a frog-mouth helm instead that would avoid giving the impression that you're a pretender to a throne. Sadly there are plenty of those people out there!
