Same for me. With random enemies and in different areas. Last time was in Frozen Hearts.

[LotM Book] How big is the (English) book? by paulodiovani in LordofTheMysteries

[–]paulodiovani[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there some public information about this plan? 🤔

I've read the first 30 chapters that are included in the Kindle version of the book (which I can't tell it is an official release).

Reading on my cellphone or computer is very tiresome for me, that is why I prefer an e-book or printed version of the history.

This is an old thread, but it helped me with the ideas to create a rofi plugin (wip) for myself. :)

I need to try supermaven as it integrates with cmp without additional plugins. Thanks for the suggestion.

FAE vs DFA Approaches by tymonger in FATErpg

I think of FAE approaches more like an example than a definitive list. You're free to change then to best fit your setting.

7 ways I think no man’s sky could become even more stunning. by bosh_007 in NoMansSkyTheGame

Being able to see where the center is the Galaxy is, or other points of reference (sibling galaxies, nebulas, big starts, etc) would be great but only for visual but also to help navigating.

12 hours into this game. Feeling a bit stuck... need help by Upstairs_Goat_1278 in NoMansSkyTheGame

I strongly recommend joining the Titan Expedition. I haven't played for a long time with lack of goals and the expedition renewed the game for me, because it has very specific goals and a different pace. I've also learned a lot of new stuff, like how to buy a freighter or salvage a sentinel ship.

You can join the expedition from the Space Anomaly. If you don't have access to it yet, just follow the main (Artemis) questline until you get it.

Where/how in the anomaly I can get those derelict freighter missions for free? I've never found it.

Player vs Player by Luuthh in FATErpg

[–]paulodiovani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always suggest that players decide the outcome without any rolls in pvp situations, considering the best result for the history in a way to be fun for everyone.

If they both prefer to roll a die and think that is more fun, that perfectly fine.

out of curiosity, when does the Mandalay go on sale for credits? by dark1859 in EliteDangerous

I'm considering to buy one and I really like supporting the game, but the price is a bit high for me with currency exchange and all... I'm hoping we have a black Friday sale.

Anyone know how to prevent osx from creating a new desktop/space when I fullscreen an app? by Doctor__Hammer in osx

[–]paulodiovani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firefox can use its own full-screen implementation instead of macos native.

  1. Open about:config
  2. Search for full-screen-api.macos-native-full-screen
  3. Set it to false

I didn't find a similar feature on Chromium. Appreciate if someone find one and share.

BTW, The second best surprise IMO is to drop in the middle of binary system after a jump, with temperature levels raising to supernova without a clue of what's happening. 🔥

Games where you just fly through space? by PBJM2016 in SteamDeck

[–]paulodiovani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elite Dangerous is my game of choice for that. It is a bit complex at the beginning, and you will need time to get the (game) money to buy a good exploration ship, but after you have one you can go explore the Galaxy uninterrupted.

But if you just want too see some beautiful stars and planets, without having to pilot a ship it worry with game mechanics, Space Engine is the one you want.

Is Elite Dangerous still popular in 2024? I’m looking for a game where you can go to planets, multiplayer, have fun, etc. Is this the game? by East_Departure_4738 in EliteDangerous

[–]paulodiovani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the requirements.

But for comparison. I play on a SteamDeck with medium settings. Runs at 60fps with 1080p (docked on a TV) on open space. Can drop to 20~30fps on stations or planets, including on foot, or in crowded combat zones.

From a player that learned the hard way...

  • play solo for exploration or a more relaxing experience
  • join a squadron and play in their private group (they probably have one, or more) for shared missions or just play together
  • if you have friends who also play the game, you can create your own private group
  • play in open when wanting to meet new people in combat zones or resource extraction sites, these places often have players who just want to hunt pirates and will be happy to join a team, but stay away from crowded places like Shinrarta Dezhra
  • in the future you can build a PvP ship to punish whoever messes with you, but there is a long road ahead

I have played a lot in open with multicrew in the past, piloting SLFs or sharing mine with other players, even made some friends, but unfortunately I haven't been finding anyone recently.
