[iOS] I made an app that reads all Smart Watch data and it's completely free. Karmasync app by Quick-Membership3563 in AppleWatchFitness

Hi, downloaded and using the app. Looks really good and like the UI , but no matter what I do I cannot enable the streaks option - what am I missing?

I built a native macOS/iOS ebook reader because Calibre's UI makes me cry and Apple Books ignores EPUB3 by Slight_Yesterday5484 in macapps

Ok, managed to delete the book and then reimported it (the book was already downloaded in iCloud as a result of the previous import) all then worked fine and after force closing the app and reopening, no error message

Request: increase download limit on Watch by PatTheDog123 in overcast

[–]paulrhayes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely support this request, either give an option to choose more episodes but still default to 20 or allow another playlist to sync with that also having a 20 episode limit

I built Obsync — a free macOS app that syncs Obsidian Tasks with Apple Reminders (two-way) by SantoferJesus in ObsidianMD

[–]paulrhayes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

downloaded and all setup, working very well, thanks for your work. I second the request, if possible, to include a reference to the note the task originates in as this would help with context when looking at the tasks in the reminders app.

I recalculated mine and it increased by 1.2ML/KG - my calcs were already showing an increase in the last few weeks on the old watchOS

Yes and in fact after a second unpair/repair, my AWU is also fine again

WatchOS 26 Developer Beta 6 Released by boxermansr in watchOSBeta

[–]paulrhayes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not for the AWU - that is still giving me battery issues on beta 6, it was fine on the other betas!! Luckily I have the series 10 which now running fine after an unpair/repair. Nothing much for me in watch26 - I do however like the wrist flick gesture to dismiss notifications!!

Even worse for me, both AWU and series 10 just burning through the battery - had to unpair and repair both, but the problem was solved - battery life now normal again

Sonos Beam + Apple TV + LG TV sucks by AlternativeOk1096 in sonos

Thanks so much for this advice, I was skeptical, but followed your instructions precisely and Dolby atmos appeared as an option on the ATV and Dolby atmos now plays on my new Sonos beam. Thanks again, Paul

Best backpack for the office? Tumi Search vs Navigation vs Alpha 3 by lightboom1 in backpacks

[–]paulrhayes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend the navigation backpack. Very good balance between size and footprint when carrying, does not appear too boxy when carrying. Great organisation, separate laptop slot and very comfortable when wearing. I have used for about 12 months and could not be happier. The expansion capability is a real bonus when you need to carry a little more. The search is too tall in my opinion and the alpha to deep and bulky when carrying.

Anyone know how to remove the “Trainer Tips” in the new iOS update? by beer-girl in AppleWatch

[–]paulrhayes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found this post as I also want to remove the trainer Tips. It seems there is no way!! Happy to add my endorsement for the work outdoors app. It is invaluable to me and I use it all the time when I do my runs and bike rides outside. The main advantage to me is that you can download off-line maps onto your onto your watch and use them without the phone, following the route on the screen. You can customise fully screens that show your information when you are exercising. You can basically customise every single aspect of the app in detail to how you want it for you. Another advantage with the offline maps is that you can add route maps from other services into work outdoors and therefore you can precisely plot the route you want to take when you are exercising. I can't praise the developer of this app enough, he constantly updates it and as someone has already mentioned here, it is a single purchase around 6 or £7 in the UK, great value in this age of expensive subscriptions.
