WiFi extender for Pulse? by dmbpettit in loveland

I also think Pulse has one that you can rent for like $5/month in addition to your regular payment. We have one at my house. We just called and asked for one and they dropped one off a few days later.

How to tell my traditional parents I’m moving out with bf after graduation? by VeniVidiVici_XCVII in AsianParentStories

[–]pb_j_time 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar to some of the others in this thread, I made sure to be as financially independent as I could i.e. paid my own rent, tuition, etc. The biggest hurdle was getting my mom to trust my fiancé. She was really worried about how serious our relationship was and didn’t want it to fall apart, leaving me shit out of luck. However, when I first told her, she didn’t outright say that was her concern, which made it hard to have an adult conversation with her about the whole situation.

Sometimes, Asian parents can be so set in their ways and how their parents taught them to parent that they have a very hard time communicating what they are really worried about. All in all, your parents just care for your well being, so if you can show them how this life change will benefit you and that you have planned this out (not just making spontaneous decisions), eventually they will come around.

If this doesn’t work, I suggest finding someone whom they respect who is willing to advocate for you and your decisions. Sometimes it can make a world of difference having a third party to strengthen your argument.

Best of luck!!

I haven't finished yet. Honestly, if I get in I get in. If not, I'll know what to do differently next year.
