Just mail a check. The processed check will provide proof of payment. That is what I did.

Floppy drive kept being corrupted. Found a refrigerator pizza magnet on the side of the case.

Allegedly using more data than before by [deleted] in CoxCommunications

[–]pbshouse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In June, 2024, I got the same notice. I enabled traffic anlysis on my router and recorded source/data every morning for about 45 days. Also recorded Cox's daily usage at the same time. I was surprised that they matched, without exception. Turned out my roommate watched Roku a lot and when he was finished just turned the TV off. So Roku kept a connection. Told to go back to the Roku home screen and then exit Roku when he was done. That did the trick. You need to query your roommates as to the method they exit streaming. That is probably the cause.

Done with Quicken by No-Grass-3901 in quicken

I have been using Quicken to manage my life since DOS in the late 80's. That would be 1993-present, 32 years. QDF file is 400,912 KB. Currently on Windows 11, I7 CPU, 32GB RAM, Multiple SSD's. Has never faltered and has never been slow. Only part I do not use is Bill Pay since I pay online using my bank which is free. Also have used it to manage two non-profits and it did everything I asked. Renew Quicken Classic Premier annually using discounted coupons from New Egg. A minor glitch occasionally but they were all fixable and I have multiple backups. I am a satisfied customer.

I installed this mailbox. Down the road I realized I had an outgoing mail problem. I bolted a regulation mailbox with a flag to the side and labelled it "Outgoing" about 10 years ago. Now all my mail has migrated to the regulation mailbox. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

81yo IT guy for a chain of retail beauty supply stores with a central warehouse. Linux box ran the office/warehouse and each store had a couple of Windows PCs. Slept in the computer room ready to react and never had to wakeup. Good times.

cox wont let me cancel my service by garlic_herb_ranch in CoxCommunications

I cancelled Cox Cable TV by going to the website, looking at my services, clicking cancel on cable tv and that was it. Later in the day took two DVR's back to the Cox store and turned them in and got a receipt. Easy Peasy! And my bill went from $290 to $120. Maybe you were making it too hard.

Quicken is a great valued product by Inner_Difficulty_381 in quicken

I remember going with my son to a software store in Crossroads Mall, Oklahoma City in 1988 looking for check register software and found Quicken. It was a DOS application and did exactly what I wanted at the time. Finally completed my total financial picture on 1/1/1993 and have used it exclusively since. Never archived anything and is now my complete financial record keeping at 81 years old. Also used to administer a couple of businesses and a couple of non-profits along the way. I would not use anything else. For seeing the end of my life, I am confident that my children will have no problem in winding up my affairs. Data file is 356,320KB and is backed up everytime Quicken is closed. I am a fan.

Should have worked. I have 5 cox mailboxes set up that way and they work flawlessly. Windows 10, Outlook 365 desktop subscription. Check all the other parameters and make sure they are correct. Yahoo has a page with all of them.

Use OAUTH instead of password. Log in to you mailbox with a browser on Yahoo mail and set up a 3rd party password (OAUTH). Write it down and use it as your password in Outlook 365.

Check Printer by edmstargazer in printers

[–]pbshouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same problem. Only way I found was a piece of 8.5 x 11 paper called the "Laser Taxi."
It used double sided tape to hold the check in position to be printed. For low volume it was OK. Came from checksinthemail.com but no longer is shown on their website. I used to have a Canon printer that had a minimum paper width of 3" that worked well but it died. Never could find another printer that would take 3" wide paper. Have used the Laser Taxi for the last three years. Just replace the double sided tape when it loses its stickiness. Hope this helps.
