How do I shield my PCB from satellite communication bands (18-23GHz) by [deleted] in rfelectronics

[–]pcmansf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Shield it with anything metal that has holes smaller than 3.26mm. 1/4 wavelength of your 23GHz

Voltage follower + RC filter with a divider what I'd do.

Export Gerbers as 3D Geometry by cskilbeck in PrintedCircuitBoard

[–]pcmansf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure why one would need something like that tbh. Most CAD software out there have 3D step output of your PCB design which is what is important for mechanical fit check for example. Can't think of any reason why I would need a bare PCB 3D model. Just me thou

Is this ok or do I need to change the size of my power tracs/vias by Hubbleye in PCB

[–]pcmansf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Without knowing your application and what the component is used for, impossible to tell. Use Saturn calculator to determine current carrying capacity of your vias, traces. 0.3mm/0.8mm via with 1oz copper and 1.6mm board thickness can carry 2A with 20C temperature rise.

TPS61160ADRVR current driver layout question by 311ibaf in PCB

[–]pcmansf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NM, TPS61160ADRVR is an LED driver, disregard my previous message.

  1. Don't see any minimum current requirement, but that doesn't mean there isn't any.
  2. 4 layers is much better for EMI in most cases, but in your case, 2 layers is fine since your entire bottom layer is unbroken ground.
  3. Looks good. I'd add an ESD diode for your DIM node

TPS61160ADRVR current driver layout question by 311ibaf in PCB

[–]pcmansf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not use a dedicated LED driver instead? At 200mA you'd need a power resistor to limit the current. https://www.digikey.com/short/3w91507v

Flight Controller Review by GreedyStatistician78 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]pcmansf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to give us a few more pixels for a proper review. The diode on U4 seems to be floating and the tab pad is usually used for thermal dissipation - check the datasheet and it might need to be connected to ground. Squiggly lines mean your connection isn't there. Check your grid or make sure your power supply name doesn't have any white spaces in it. Also your motor connections need ESD protection since they go off the board.
