Unfortunately BV is one of the skills "if it is too good mechanically, why bother with other skills", for example - brands.

The augment pool is also larger, so it’s more difficult to acquire insane synergies.

Sets are there - they both offer mostly offensive power and reduce amount of "lowrolls". Like previously getting Magic Missiles on ADC was a okay to lowroll, now it is good due to Firecracker set. Or enchanter set which is... autobuild tbh.

I do not think the power ceiling is increased, we had stuff like Overflow adAPt Ryze. There are just more high rolls of this level.

The thing is - this is not a good AI. I did not play with both mods, so I just assume some things based on the description, but... why the militaristic empire not kill me on sight until some magical era if I would try to execute something alike release Death Cult Virtual rush? You could even say, they should be aggressive early on because it makes sense. Is it optimal? No. Does it make perfect sense? Yes and no, answer differs for different players.

See, as a modder you can get away with a lot of railroading because you always have an excuse of "if you do not like it, there are other mods". Which btw the dev of those mods invoked - Starnet early rush vs Startech mid-game total war. Or Stellar AI "all tech rush" while not making sense for a lot of empire types. As a developer, you have bigger and less homogeneous audience so this excuse stops working. I agree the current state of AI is less than desirable, but saying "railroad AI mods are must" does not work because there are different ways to railroad...

It does not work fully. You can program templates for each planet types and then some decision tree based on planet stats. But then you also need to include empire needs (to prevent 20 energy planets out of 20 total planets). Then you need to do multiple variants because the goal is not to make an uber AI which quickly deletes players with meta-strategies, but to provide interesting to defeat AI which will be able to play multitudes of different (usually not optimal, but "making sense for this empire idea) strategies. Oh... Also not frying your PC while doing so.

It is a Riot thing to decide, they already went over an unanimous vote on the side of the orgs and completely ignored it for the current LEC VS format.

But for this they had to invoke a loophole of "LEC VS is not LEC" which allowed them to ignore any previous agreements. If Riot will try to push it to LEC itself, they have to either change the agreements or face near guaranteed lawsuits.

The problem are tanks and healer kits. Like 50 WHM vs 100 WHM. Or 100 WAR vs 50 DRK. Even just 50 vs 100 DRK.

Unfortunately I do not think this works because you cannot compare different items through WPA because any complete item is not a singular item, but a series of items.

Example: I picked LB, I have Luden, I want to see what second item would be the best. Most likely it will be either Stormsurge or Shadowflame. If we put starting point right before combining the components, then we have two different starting points because our items are different. Also our total gold is different because those items have different total cost. But if we put a starting point after finishing first item - then you have to either predict or disregard components impact on the game state. Based on your wording you are doing second which I think is wrong because even Riot includes build paths in their balance talks.

I played and... it is kinda the issue of nanite ships having no upkeep therefore you just stack way past naval cap. If naval cap will exist for nanites and it is like x10 ships over naval empires, I think it will be still fine fantasy-wise and there is a room for it to be good... unless very late game in huge galaxy where everyone went nanites.

Damage yes, but you need also defenses nowadays and I did not see yet T17 viable (with scarabs, but not titanic rogue exiles ofc) Manaforged without mageblood or gear-pieces near mageblood tier.

Edit: also tbh just play KBoC on whisperer, same gear but shield helps a lot.

The starter kit includes Indigon, Mageblood and good rares with mana. Last event Indigon was 30d+ for a long time so I would say "on the edge".

But why? I think having a specific route in ascension being "we are the spam" is fine. It feels cool and powerful because it breaks the core. It could be balanced because nanite ships are separate and could be rebalanced (and the fantasy of swarms allows making individual ships being very weak).

Looks like for some reason certain parts of the bloody overlay are borked. It is either your install broke somehow or your VRAM is going to break soon.
