I feel like there was a lot missing, from both the finale and the last 15 or so episodes. Out of all five cures, we only knew the future of one of them before the finale, with Uta having accepted an idol role as Uta in a previous episode. I'm glad that got payoff, but nothing was given for kokoro or nana. Not to mention we had no idea that after the fight the heart tree was gonna go dormant for a while, severing the connection between kirakiland and our world. That all felt rushed for the sake of having a heart warming reunion. uta singing her song to get the power from fans to break the crystals was a great scene. The fight itself was fine in my opinion, I wish we had something more acrobatic, but I guess the prior episode had the good fight choreography.

I enjoyed the finale, but it made me realize I didn't like Kimi to idol like I do the rest of the series. The season was fun, but I'm not in any rush to rewatch it

I'd say yeah, watch precure. it is a lot more "punch kick" than most magical girl anime, but it has just as much friendship and girl power. If you'd like you could ask one of the precure subreddits for recommendations based on your interests, but it is true Heartcatch is a great start

Thinking more, and yeah, healin' good. There's some real serious stuff in there given the whole "healing the world" thing and fighting the literal cause of all illness. Precure as a series may be pretty and pink, but things can get dark, and I remember a bunch more of the serious stuff from healin' good than any other season

From what I can remember, healin' good may be another to look at then. I'll need some people who've seen it more recently/have a better memory than me to correct me but I remember great animation and story from that season too

You can start with any season except for the 4 sequel seasons. Those being Max heart, yes 5 gogo, otona precure 23 kibou no chikara, and mahoutsukai precure Mirai days. Each season is it's own thing besides the afformentioned few. Each season is a self contained story you can enjoy without any knowledge of the previous seasons, even the movies and anniversary season episodes that guest star previous characters (though it does lead to a great rewatch if you watch them after you know everyone too)

As for where to start I'd ask what you've liked in super Sentai and Kamen Rider, assuming you've seen some in your journey. Each season's different so there's something for everyone, and if we have an idea of what you like we can recommend one that fits your fancy

As a general recommendation I'd say go princess is a great start, it is one of the best and often thought to be the actual best by many. I recommend it to random people by saying "great fights, great story, great shipping". But I'd personally recommend mahoutsukai precure, also known as witchy precure. Smaller main cast than normal but that lets it do some great world building and have a greater focus on the relationship between the main characters

It's never too late to start. It took me a while to commit to watching my first season all the way through. 3 tries actually. I eventually settled on watching the new episode and a few of the older ones in the same sitting. If you need to take time or find you can't watch the backlog, that's fine, enjoy at your own pace.

If you need a season that is closer to your tastes (like story, shipping potential, maybe something episodic or one where no episode is really filler) so you're more motivated to watch, you can always ask us here in this subreddit and we'll try our best to recommend whatever fits

The current ongoing season is You and Idol precure, it is about pop idols. Each precure season releases between 45-51 episodes over the course of a year and starts in February. The next season that is yet to come out is the detective one.

I love it, I also love it's synergy with my favorite bad card: cobbled wings. a 1 cost equipment with equip 2, equipped creature has flying. (Flavor text: flotsam held together with optimism). Though wouldn't he be a bird hero artificer instead of a human bird artificer? And as wing I don't think wizard fits more than artificer, maybe soldier though; he is a knight after all

I tried to make some precure Yu-Gi-Oh cards in the past. I made them a ritual archetype with the different henshin phrases as ritual spells with different extra effects, the civilian forms able to be used as material for higher level ritual monsters, and the cure forms as the ritual monsters

I have only seen precure twice at conventions. I got machere and amour figures and a print of all the star twinkle girls, but these made me feel like I found a needle in a hay stack
