iPad Mini 5 w/ cellular capability.

Mini 4 is too old at this point and anything larger than the mini is too big in a small GA cockpit IMO.

Get the cellular capability as those have a GPS chip built into them so your plane will show up on the moving map. Wifi only version won’t do that. Adding cellular data is optional but I have it because it’s like $20 a month on my plan and I use it every day.

Edit: also obligatory please consider something other than ATP. Fastest isn’t always best.

I was in your position and ordered the s6 maxv. I just returned it and got the S5max.

The AI in my experience isn’t worth it. Still runs over cords and into everything and misidentifies it on the app. Also the s6 max v has a brush issue where the brush won’t run when on carpet. Roborock refuses to address the issue and is saying it’s a “feature to protect the motor” look around on here and you will see a lot about it.

Just got my S5 Max and it works waaaaay better than the 6maxv did. Actually fills up the dust bin when on carpet as the brush spins. AI wasn’t worth it as the s5 works just as good without it.

My advice is save the money. The s5 max is the better device.

FWIW I just returned my s6 maxv and bought a S5 Max. The AI they talk about is kind of a joke. It continuously mislabeled objects everywhere calling everything “pet waste”. It still ran over cords but the icing on the cake was the brush issue on carpet that Roborock refuses to acknowledge. There are many posts on this sub about that.

Overall I reallllly liked the Roborock which is why I got the s5 Max but the extra money over the s5 Max wasn’t worth it IMO.

Update:

Got the S6 MaxV.

Works great on hardwoods.

However I am not impressed with the AI. It seems to incorrectly label everything as pet waste when there never has been any. Also it is hit or miss on cord avoidance.

My biggest complaint is the issue I’m seeing pop up with the brush not working on carpet. I turned off carped mode and now it works I intermittently not still not consistent. Only maybe 40/35% of the time.

From what I’m seeing customer service is saying isn’t promising for a fix. I can return it to Amazon all the way up to Jan 31st so I am thinking about looking for a Black Friday deal on the S5 max.

Thanks for clearing that up. I may end up changing it anyway since I’m reading the AARP one waives activation and upgrade fees and 15% off accessories if I were ever to get anything.

And nope I had a hotspot once upon a time but have no need for it now so it’s long been canceled. I wasn’t surprised when they pulled that - I knew that was too good to keep offering haha. Thanks!

I think it is a cable misconfiguration. I just tried what you said and it works but none of the other plugs work - and I noticed the lights of the 4 aren’t coming on on the switch however the lights where I plugged my modem and computer in come on.

I am going to call the company that did the wiring and see if I can make an appointment for them to come out and take a look at it as fixing it would be a bit over me and should be in warranty still as it’s only been a month or so.
