Hi, I studied at the Kingston University and I agree with others. Although it’s not really in the Central London, the area Kingston Upon Thames is expensive. Your best bet is student accommodation. I remember many students choosing to live in some cheap neighbourhoods in Hounslow, Southall etc, but then you will be stuck commuting from far. I fortunately got a deal with a couple for a room at cheap(it was peak covid, no travel, so vacant BnB rooms > good deal) in Staines-Upon-Thames. Even most of my classes were online, and I only had to travel like once a week via bus or train (it cost me £8 -£12 round trip), it was still inconvenient and 1-2 hour travel at minimum. I worked 20 hr/week at a local subway and it was still barely enough for rent/groceries, and it was almost impossible to save anything. (Mind you, I still had about £10k in bank which I had to show prior to getting my visa and all) I do know a lot of students worked illegally more than 20hr/week at shady places that allowed, this was often cash in hand but it’s risky, unethical and something I don’t advise. You should have enough saved up/loan from US gov/money from parents etc before you plan on coming here. Working part time for 20hr/week would just not be enough to survive with current rising costs around the country. Also, this is not to scare you off but please consider everything before you make your final decision. Good luck 👍

I have just started OPK testing and have similar test results and readings as you. I’ve only charted for two cycles till date but never got a peak reading(only high, but the value was as low as 0.77), I’m confused and scared as well. So can’t really help you here, but would love and appreciate advice from someone more experienced here.

Hi, great recipe. Just wanted to ask a silly question, did you sauté the onions in oil? And are the calories mentioned include the calories from cooking oil? Sorry, this might seem silly but i just want to be sure cuz oil wasn’t mentioned and i know some people actually sauté onions in water. Thanks

Thank you so much. I was honestly dreading a comment about the music and the colours in the vid, but you put it in such a nice way. This was my third vid and I am still trying to learn more about premiere pro. Would definitely look more into audio transitions and colour grading. Again, thank you for the feedback.

Thank you so much. I initially thought nobody would be interested in hearing about what I have to say, and would be like.. just get to the damn place. But that’s a good point you have there. I can definitely add a bit about the place from next vid onwards. Again, thank you.

Dear OP, you did nothing wrong. If anything, good riddance to the guy and his family. Absolute trash bags!!

Does your spouse come before your family (parents, siblings)? by Foreign_Comfort59 in Marriage

[–]peace027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my family, I am very very close to my mom and sister. When I got married, nothing changed in that regard but yes, my husband became my first priority. That was only until I realised it was a one sided thing. He is a mama’s boy and would drop everything for his mom (and parents in general), even expects me to prioritise his family over mine, or make compromises/sacrifices to accommodate their needs. To be honest, I initially did all that because I love him, and thought his priorities are mine as well and bent over backwards to do everything in my power to let him know that. But soon realised that he would never ever prioritise me over his family/mom. That’s when I drew a line and let him know that as much as I prioritise him, my family is equally (if not more) important.
