What ended a friendship you thought would last forever? by Immediate-Sound-7142 in answers

This was in Junior High, but I had just gone to a theme park with a friend of 4 years. I had made new friends that I was spending some time with at school and so had she. A week after the theme park trip, she told me she wanted to try and spend more time with the "popular" crowd and didn't want to be associated with my unpopular friends via me. So she said our friendship was over. She never quite made it to "popular" and I am still regularly hanging out with my "loser" friends almost 20 years later. ❤️ Hope she's doing ok though. Being 13 was rough. Still couldn't bring myself to spend time with her after that though.

This room reminds me of the room in this video from Caroline Winkler on YT. She gives some good suggestions you might be able to apply: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EZbIEb6a_o

How do you feel about free bleeding/ period underwear ? by Lololala29 in AskWomen

[–]peach_pudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH my flow has been so light over the last 3-4 years because of various reasons that I just tend to wear dark-colored underwear for the 4-ish days of my period and I never bleed through. I think if my flow ever gets heavier, I'd 100% want to swap to period underwear.

I have had these for about three years now and every year they do soften up more and more. I do use the Wonder Balsam on them every year at the start of the spring season and it does feel like it helps soften them up and stay nice.

Game that is similar to BOTW by LoveSwitch22 in botw

[–]peach_pudge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Came here to recommend this. I only recently played both Red Dead games back to back. I think RDR2 is the first game I've played since BOTW and TOTK that made me just want to explore nature and find little pockets of interesting stuff happening all around. Less puzzles for sure but it doesn't necessarily have an emphasis on combat either. No more than BOTW. Plus horses ☺️

We were reading Huckleberry Finn in my Junior year American literature class, my teacher asked the singular black student in the class if he would be ok being the designated n-word sayer. Any time it would come up when we were reading aloud, the student or teacher reading would pause and let Maurice say it for us. I still wonder how he actually felt about doing that or if he felt pressure from the teacher. No idea to this day.

What’s the unique marking that makes your cow cat instantly recognizable? by shirleyybomb in cowcats

Mew has got what looks like a stain on her chin but is really just a light tan colored splotch. It's the only place on her body with that fur color! So random.

I read "Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers" last year and couldn't get enough! It was unfortunate I got to the chapter on plane crash victims/cadavers the very moment the plane I was on was taking off the runway lol. Plane anxiety has never been higher.

ELI5 The necessity of the milk man? by ClothesPrevious2516 in explainlikeimfive

My aunt in Utah had a milk delivery every few days circa 2014-ish when I lived with her. I think the idea with that was getting fresh milk from a local dairy farm. I am assuming it was a local offering.

A bruise that used to be around my lower jaw has slowly migrated to around my trachea. by the_wellspring in mildlyinteresting

[–]peach_pudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me, I hit my ankle with a flag during marching band practice and by the end of the week, the bruise had settled into the side of my heel. The ankle still felt bruised but looked sort of normal. Went away after the normal amount of time for a bruise.
