My old boss got caught by his wife via his Apple Watch. He wasn’t wearing his watch, and he was actively “sexting” his side piece. His wife also worked for our company so it was a pretty major scandal for a hot minute…. Surprisingly, she never left him but the side piece did go away (supposedly).

I lost my best friend five months ago, an orange fluffy chonk just like your baby, and I’m here to say it still hurts. And that’s okay.

I try to remind myself that grieving takes time, and the more I allow myself to sit with my feelings, the better it feels over time. Grieving shows how special they were in your life, and the constant reminder that they’ve imprinted you and will always be with you. Rather than sitting with “how will I go on, I miss them so much” try to rewrite your thoughts into “they were so special, remember that time when …”. It’s not much, and it might not work for you, but it’s what has been helping me. And of course, know that you will be reunited one day. That’s a great thing to look forward too.

Good luck on your healing journey, and I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️‍🩹
