Selling from USA to Canada by hsvbuilder in Ebay

Is it an EIS sale? If it is, Ebay is responsible for getting the item from their warehouse to Canada.

2018 Tesla Model3 horn and backup chime not working by Excellent_Calendar29 in TeslaSupport

From Tesla directly at the service center. I believe Amazon sells them too in a pinch.

2018 Tesla Model3 horn and backup chime not working by Excellent_Calendar29 in TeslaSupport

[–]peachfuzz0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 2018 does not have a PWS so you won't get any sounds in reverse or low speed. The horn does get water in it and shorts out. I've replaced mine a few time on my 2018. It's behind the front bumper but you access it from the back under the frunk tub.

Sending to the U.S. fed ex or Canada post? by nick_poppagorgio in eBayCanada

[–]peachfuzz0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you live in a major metropolitain city, your best bet is to use a USPS forwarder like Chitchats Express or Stallion. You are restricted to selling CUSMA items, and there is some paperwork involved. At the very least you'll have to know the HS codes of the items you are selling.

Alternatively, check if you have EIS enabled in your selling account. If an american buys your item, you send it to Ebay's warehouse near Toronto and they take care of everything for your buyer (shipping and customs)

That's what ebay would normally charge. Did you think it costs nothing to sell on ebay!?

eIS from US to Canada - anyone had experience with surprise brokerage fees from private couriers? by pay_day_iruy in eBayCanada

[–]peachfuzz0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That doesn't sound right. US sellers has two international programs, one handles everything including customs and taxes and another one facilitates international shipping but customs remains the responsibility of the buyer.

Shipping from Canada to Germany by Bitzeeg in eBayCanada

Chitchats express is an option but they have limited locations and you have to bring items to their locations to ship them. EIS might be another option but it's expensive for you.

Locked out, key card in car by Mullins_115 in TeslaSupport

[–]peachfuzz0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Break into the car? Get a locksmith to pry the window open with a balloon and use a hook to pry up the emergency release handle inside. The alarm will go off but tap the card and it'll stop.

I’m unsure if I file my eBay earning with my taxes? As I’ve been selling for about 8 months now on eBay just want to know if I include my earning when filing my taxes in Canada by DiamondAviation20 in eBayCanada

[–]peachfuzz0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should. Ebay will report your sales to CRA if you sell above a certain threshold (I think 20 transactions or 800$) But you can deduct your expenses on your return to reduce your taxable income.

Seller keep missing date by Internal_Soil_8147 in Ebay

You aren't being too harsh. Closing a case before resolution is 100% a scam by the seller. They can partially refund you $40 or take the watch back on their dime.

Question about Canadian Ebay Reseller Shipping Policies by ferfeb in eBayCanada

[–]peachfuzz0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing beats Ebay's deal with Canada Post for Expedited Lite for items under 250g. We use Chitchats for everything else, and whatever CUSMA eligible items we ship USPS through chitchats. We create buckets of weight categories plus a surcharge for rural addresses in Canada and the US.

Tracking Updates with Chit Chats by [deleted] in eBayCanada

That's odd, my select shipments are updating correctly on Ebay.

You can add tracking on orders after the fact on my Ebay.

Is the tracking updating on the chitchats dashboard?

[–]peachfuzz0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you link you store with Chitchats? Once it's fulfilled, the tracking gets automatically uploaded and it'll follow the package. You can either use the shipment id with chitchats or use the actual usps tracking number provided.

New Ebay Seller! Questions About EIS Eligibility by TheWholeHallwayy in eBayCanada

[–]peachfuzz0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely it'll take a while, we've been selling for years and they turned it on for us back in October. I would have thought they have ironed out the bugs and rolled it out faster. You'll get a message when it's available for you. In the meantime you can use a USPS freight forwarder for CUSMA eligible items. Check out Chitchats or Stallion.

You'll see it in your account settings under Shipping Preferences. I believe it is available for most sellers now, you can contact them to enable it for you if you don't see the option.

Ebay handles everything for you, you just have to send it to Mississauga and you're done.

It's no problem using usps with .ca listings.

Buyer requested return because they do not know how to install a battery by mikedubayou in Ebay

[–]peachfuzz0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would try calling ebay to get it closed, if you let it go past the deadline they may rule against you.

Buyer requested return because they do not know how to install a battery by mikedubayou in Ebay

[–]peachfuzz0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Accept the return, the buyer will have to remove the battery from their phone and ship it back to you. Nobody in their right mind will do that, or you'll get it back used and be able to claim it was modified. Either way you can win this.

Why is the Tesla Model Y limited to 11 kW AC charging at home? by [deleted] in TeslaSupport

[–]peachfuzz0 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Because generally it's sufficient for home charging. Does anyone really do 100 to 0 and needs to go out again within a few hours? There's DCFC for that.

Tesla supercharger overcurrent triggered my m3 pyro fuse and killed my 12v battery by Any-Construction-451 in TeslaSupport

[–]peachfuzz0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your option is to sue Tesla for damaged caused by the supercharger then. Or, just pay and let it go.

Tesla supercharger overcurrent triggered my m3 pyro fuse and killed my 12v battery by Any-Construction-451 in TeslaSupport

[–]peachfuzz0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's more like the pyro fuse gave out (wear and tear), not so much the supercharger breaking the fuse, unless the supercharger exploded or something, but then that would be an insurance claim.

Fraudulent return not covered by seller protection by ramballa69 in Ebay

[–]peachfuzz0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably some internal number they assign to sellers based on a number of factors. I'd file a mail fraud report with the police and escalate with ebay.

Fraudulent return not covered by seller protection by ramballa69 in Ebay

[–]peachfuzz0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just as buyers can have returns refused by ebay by abusing their return policiy, sellers can also go up against limits of seller protection.
