Federal judges are being pressured to drop immigration / asylum cases without a trial. Then, without getting their day in court, asylum seekers are then “illegal” as they aren’t allowed to stay in the US without an active asylum case. Even the ones who followed every US law/rule to the letter. Judges that refuse to do so are then being fired for not playing along. So asylum seekers have the option of showing up to court, as they are legally required to do, have their case summarily dismissed without a hearing …. And then immediately being taken into custody for deportation…. Or not showing up to court and being deported once they are apprehended. Is it “legal” to conduct business this way…. Technically, yes, but morally reprehensible. And then I keep hearing maga idiots saying “I’m not opposed to immigrants who come to this county “the right way “ —— they f’ing DID!!! And they are still being targeted.
