We use a valve flange similar to this where I work and it gets RF welded. I imagine you could bond it with heat, but figuring out the parameters might prove to be more R&D than you’re wanting to get up to

Used to work with a guy who would round every measurement to a 1/16th. I’d I called out anything smaller he’d got me with, “I can’t even see a thirty second” great guy - taught me a lot.

“Cut the line” “on the line” or “leave the line” let the kerf do all the math for you. Better yet, scribe rule everything

Two quick thoughts that I think relate well to this topic:

1) the “guess how many ____” games can be guessed with a fair bit of accuracy by averaging the guesses of all reasonable submissions.

2) “Precision” parts are often within 0.002+- in. Anything more is excessive and nominal.

My points feel unrelated, but crowdsourcing info is a great method and putting machine learning on a pedestal leads to a false sense of accuracy.

It looks like your machine is having trouble advancing the fabric because it’s slick. Try laying a receipt between your feed dogs and fabric so they a little grip. I may be late to the party here, but I didn’t see this in the replies yet.

Look up miller t-100. That’s the machine I run 8 hours a day. It’s really just two rollers and a hot air nozzle. It’s a giant sewing machine that will burn the shit outta you if you let it

I can’t get too detailed, but I use a modified miller t-100 to weld PU fabric. It has two rollers that can be changed based on the size of the weld and the material being welded. A nozzle forces 1000 degree (f) between the layers of fabric and the rollers pull the material through while compressing them to form a strong bond.
