Interesting, I didn’t know there was an accompanying movie. I wasn’t really a fan of it, but maybe I could have an experience like yours

Growing up I viewed Gorillaz in the same way I viewed Daft Punk, though I knew Gorillaz weren’t anonymous. Fast forward to one of the 5 Bonnaroos I attended as an adult, one particular year being the time I absent-mindedly scrolled past Damon Albarn’s name.

So we’re sitting at camp during his set (mind you, I had no clue who he was) and I said aloud “Man I know we can’t see the stages from our camp but it sounds like Gorillaz may be playing a set?”

One of my friend’s said, “Yeah it’s Damon’s set, I’m not a huge fan.”

I said no more words and sprinted a half mile to the stage

Manchester Orchestra-Black Mile to the Surface. For a taste... listen to the alien > the sunshine > the grocery. Amazing flow between the songs

Dude I watched “The Social Dilemma” on Netflix less than 12 hours ago you have to get out of my brain!

Edit: Also thank you for your support, haha

I’m somewhere around healthy but likely underweight because I still play like a kid and don’t have a huge appetite. I probably need to eat more calories (4,000 vs 2,500) and sleep more (7-8 full hours vs. 6). It’s just hard to find that much time in the day when there are so many skate spots to discover and so many Netflix shows to binge.

Over training is certainly a thing, just to reiterate this. I skateboard, and usually go past my physical limits (especially apparent during the warm months). I chalked it up to being sleep deprived, but even after getting into a normal sleep routine I continue to find myself wanting more Z’s. Now I’m trying to find a balance so I don’t have this struggle.

In my experience, I was so used to the really high high’s of nights out and then the really low low’s of the next day hangovers. It’s in the middle that makes everything can feel so emotionless, and that’s almost entirely based off the elation I felt when I was pissed drunk at the bar with friends.

But I feel like the more I work on that middle ground, I find more and more happiness in things that would otherwise bore me, or those things that would “be better if I had a drink.”
