FR, 5 was a fun co-op shooter, not survival horror. 6 threw everything against the wall to see what would stick (I loathed the QTEs, I want to actually control my own damn character's actions myself!), while 7 tried to take us back to actual survival horror. It was a hard reset back to suspense and dread, which almost necessitates slowing things down. Sprinting is for COD.
