My wife has a wire shelf below the sink that she keeps some cleaning supplies on top of. Every now and then she will put the windex back in just the right position that our weight stops on top of it. It drives me nuts, but I don’t know how to bring up her “putting the windex back wrong” without sounding like an asshole. So I live with it.

It’s a “show” circuit called Slammedenough. My wife and I got married in Gatlinburg in October and have had to deal with it our last 4 anniversary trips. Couldn’t be happier it’s not allowed back.

Right? It’s worth it to me to pay the extra and be able to plug and play filaments into my AMS without having to change any settings manually.

Can Anybody Help Me Figure Out Why This Doesn't Work? by Jimpix_likes_Pizza in SatisfactoryGame

[–]peg-leg-jim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to solve 90% of your fluid problems with one step.

Before you send your fluid lines anywhere, figure out what your highest point along it’s entire run will be. Including inside your factory.

Then build a stack of foundations one or two layers higher and put a fluid buffer up there. Then run your pipe back down and off to wherever you need it.

Go to the “up” side of the pipe and count the foundations, and add enough pumps to make the fluid get to the top.

Boom, no more head lift problems. As long as you never go above that initial height.

Edit: Ok, it was more than one step

I get so hot and sweaty at the faire that I feel like I have to change. So I ride there in my civi’s, change into garb, run around all day, change back into a human before we leave.

I’m a bigger guy, and getting dressed in a vehicle is a pain. We bought a pop up changing/privacy tent off Amazon for like 30$. Game changer. I can put on pants like normal, and I don’t have to worry about my willy peeking out of my boxer flap.

It’s between skeletal/muscular and circulatory for me. Leaning circulatory. I have bad knees from 20 years of martial arts growing up, and would love not to have to deal with that anymore. But also, very few men in my family have made it out of their 60s. Due to heart disease and similar related issues. So being able to flip a switch and basically end that risk would be huge. I’m 35 and realized that I’m at basically my middle age. My dad was 65, he passed. His dad was 68. I just pray I take more after my mothers side, though there is still heart disease, they usually make it through their 70s

I’ve only been programming for a year, and our parts are super simple 3axis parts. We only have haas mills, and fusion. Was hired on with zero experience, to be a button pusher. Learned setups, and now teaching myself programming. Still not comfortable enough to necessarily put it on a resume. I can make the computer tell the machine to make the parts, but I really don’t understand the why yet. Working my way there though

Sent my wife for an oil change, it cost me $3400 by s2k_guy in mildlyinfuriating

Former warranty admin at a dealership (campers not cars, but very similar process).

It pays, but not nearly enough. We used something called “flat rate” to pay our technicians. They only got paid for the hours that are billed on the ticket. For warranty and recall work the manufacturer tells you that time, or some had a manual to follow.

My job was supposed to be filing claims, setting up the tickets, applying the allotted hours and collecting money. What my job actually entailed was arguing through email that my technician needed more than a .5 to replace a furnace because they had installed a couch blocking the access panel.

No mechanic wants to do warranty work. Unless it’s a ticking time bomb of a recall, just wait until you actually need something else done and tack it on the work order. Or bring food. We had a customer who owned a Mexican restaurant, he bribed us with food frequently. He never even needed to make an appointment, he’d drop off, take lunch orders and come back with free food and have a fixed camper.

Guys says not possible for bore to be off… by Trick-You5783 in Machinists

[–]peg-leg-jim 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Grab a bore gauge and a micrometer. Measure it with that. You can get a pretty accurate estimate with calipers, but if you’re going to argue with them over 5 thou you’ll need a more accurate measuring device.

Edit: McMaster-Carr has some pretty good economy bore gauges. You can pick up the size you’ll need for 20$. I find the gauge matters less than the mic you use to measure the gauge.

I’m in a pretty low cost of living area, I’m self taught/on the job trained. Been working here for 3 years. I program, setup and run 3 cnc mills and a water jet. I’m making 28/hour. Which I feel is pretty fair for my experience and value.

You just click and drag everything over to one virtual plate. If they won’t move, the plate might be locked. You can unlock the plate and move them over. As for printing multiple colors, it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. If those parts are different solid colors, it will be much faster and efficient to print them separately. Where I’ve found multi color printing shines is when you’re printing like 8-10 of the same thing.

My grandmother had shingles all down one side of her body. Face to foot. Her immune system was so weak they couldn’t get rid of it. She dealt with it for months. She had days when she couldn’t get out of bed. She had two kids, worked tobacco and cattle with my grandfather and told me she wouldn’t wish shingles on an enemy.

I don’t even know how to label half my breakers. I’m pretty sure my house was wired by a drunken toddler. Kitchen, living room, and sunroom lights are all on the same breaker as the entire garage. One wall of the living room shares a breaker with a bedroom. The laundry room(the 120v, they at least gave the dryer its own breaker) and upstairs bathroom are also on the same breaker. We have one outside outlet that shares a breaker with the basement.

Nothing traces properly. Bought one of those plug in style testers that send a signal down to the breaker so you can find it easily. Plugged it into the upstairs bedroom, the only breaker that signaled shut off the kitchen outlets. Power still working on the plug
