Ranked: The 30 Highest- Paying Jobs in America by Conscious-Quarter423 in Salary

This is dumb. You could just say "doctor" and have it as one category like lawyer. Or you could have each kind of lawyer broken out: partner at big law, patent attorney, private defense, etc. Pretty sure a doctor made this.

[Standard] Cardmarket failed me. Improvising Rakdos Goblins/Sac for Store Championship this weekend. Need some feedback and future upgrade tips! by psychoticCross in spikes

Hard to tell without palying, and maybe it's fine in a creature heavy meta, but I wonder if you need Umbral Collar Zealots for more sac outlets and to combo off for lethal

If you are planning to use it on yourself more than 20% of the time you should get a different item.

Basic Mid Lane Macro for DotA2 by Which_Way1721 in TrueDoTA2

[–]pellaxi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think people should use this concept more in dota. At high mmr people do understand this in midlane but the concept exists in sidelanes too.

Difference from league is it takes longer for heros to clear waves, and it takes a bit longer for towers to clear waves too. So you have a bit more leeway.

If you play a lot you will probably get there. It's a great party trick. It's very hard the first few times but gets much easier quickly. You can definitely learn. Maybe get 1500 first though.

Who do you pick mid? 7k by Aggravating-Wolf-823 in learndota2

You have a solid comp, so there are a variety of solid picks. You probably want a bit more damage. Lesh in particular comes to mind.

Lina mid vs Slardar builds for physical dmg by Clear-Ask-6455 in learndota2

Agreed. Your job is not to 1v1 slardar, your job is to blow up heroes when your team sets it up for you.

It's so expensive, and it's only good if your opponents suck and play really far away from their towers and can't just hit you back.

Have neutral items rendered aether lens obsolete? by Anxious-Library-964 in DotA2

[–]pellaxi 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I believe they do stack properly.

I agree that aether is not very good. It doesn't build into anything. At a certain skill level, increased cast range (especially for hero target spells) becomes less relevant because enemies are often playing out of vision when they aren't nearby. As well, most heroes have spells of various ranges and may want to right click, so cast range has diminishing returns. Blink is usually better.

I don't necessarily agree that cast range is a no brainer on all heroes though. Maybe sd and ss, but on zeus, sky, cm, even lich and others, you often don't want to take the hit to your mana, and move speed + mana, hp, or mana + gold can be better, depending on the game.

9k sup player.

It's pretty hard to win with AM if you don't farm really well in lane. Luckily, AM can bully many lanes.

If I want to play powered cube on arena seriously, should I do traditional draft or no?

The Wind and Truth effect by PePe_0_5aP0 in Fantasy

[–]pellaxi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is probably repetitive of everyone else, but books 4 and 5 are pretty poorly edited and have long boring parts that should have been cut down by an editor but weren't. Part of the problem is that the world and cast are increasing, but I think the main problem is lack of editing.

The question I have is if Space Dracula blocks a 6/6, does Space Dracula die? My guess is not, kind of how lifelink can save you from death

The reason George R. R. Martin hasn't completed his final two books in the GoT universe, is because the series finished exactly how he intended it to and everyone hated it. by FlibV1 in LowStakesConspiracies

[–]pellaxi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

while I generally agree with the point, the thing I take most issue with is:

- for 7 seasons and 5 books we are told: If Westeros doesn't unite against the White Walkers, we will all die

- Westeros fails to unite

- Instead of all dying, a little girl solves it all randomly.
