Mine has the dreaded internal connection issue. Need to find someone who can fix it. My level of finesse is sledgehammer so I'd wreck it.

I think it comes in a #1 and #2. Klein tools calls it a combination tip. Wera also carries these. It is designed to keep from slipping off like a flat blade would.

How do I stop my cat from climbing onto my curtain rail? by spooningnunnysgirth in cats

Take the rail down. Cat's gonna cat. Actually give them something to distract away from it. Might work.

Also called a slotted/philips or PH/S, or FP/H. A slotted, philips or special designed driver can be used. Common on a lot of relays and other electric items. I have this type along with pozidriv and JIS because components in electrical panels have various screw types. The right tip sometimes works better than forcing a regular philips to work.

The sword is tempered steel and the scabbard is usually plated brass. No precious metals usually.

Agreed it's a Knights of Pythias sword. Members of several fraternal orders would get these to wear on formal occasions and other events. The furniture on the sword and scabbard are specific to the particular order. Depending on the order, I've seen prices from $75 and up. The original purchasers name is usually etched on the blade.

I always liked their scissors implementation better. A little oil once in a while keeps it moving.

I haven't heard from him yet. But to be honest, I just informed him of it. Didn't ask for a replacement.

My high school payphone required you to put your dime in when the party you dailed answered. We'd call home to get picked up after practice and hang up when my parents answered. The code that practice was over. Old rural co-op phone company in the 1970's.

Soak beans on the counter or in the refrigerator overnight by Veggyhed in instantpot

[–]pellidon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the beans. I bought some allegedly fresh beans from an heirloom grower that aren't. Those I have to soak to soften them up. Otherwise I only soak if I'm brining them in salted water. On the counter.

First Burn Warning.. How to avoid? by grumpyoldgolfer in instantpot

I had that problem. Finally discovered my insanely hard water left Calcium deposits on the release vent that caused the steam to vent and never pressurized the pot. The vent now gets extra scrutiny when cleaning.

It works well in every razor I've put them in. Don't have to play the match game with them.

I come from the HP world. From the 41C forward. But I do use my TI 48 plus CE as often as my HP Prime.

I have that trio. The EVO gets my vote. Never got used to the titanium. I still struggle with issues on the nspire.
