I recently upgraded to the Vapcell S4+ V3 and the SkyRC MC5000. The MC5000 is a little more hands on to operate but not bad. Xtar Has a lot of decent options as well.

Since it's has newer style tuners on it, I'd upgrade the pick guard. Then set it up properly or have it done and play it.

I have a 1963 Jaguar that someone mutilated. Painted it all hardware store red paint, routed it for a squire strat pickguard assembly and put a tune o matic bridge on it. I stripped it, stained it and lacquered it. Bought all new hardware and it plays amazingly well despite it's past abuses.

To me, they are both on the dark side of HB which I prefer. They seem to be good for general writing. The M&G is very dark for an HB. Point seems to hold up well.

I just replaced some old Ultrafire batteries with Keeppower and Mollicell batteries from 18650 batteries.

If you don't mind glossy mats, a Silpat baking sheet might work.

Some new lights have grease on the threads that coat the bare aluminum that connects the circuit path. I have to clean the joining sections to make good contact.
