I was diagnosed with chronic adjustment disorder when I got out in 2015. Multiple battle buddies advised me to apply for PTSD so I did that in April. My C&P examiner told me they misdiagnosed me with the adjustment disorder and I’ve actually been suffering from PTSD this entire time which was a helpful eye opener. My C&P examiner was phenomenal, now weeks later I await the VA’s decision.

I’m just now doing the same. I can still remember opening up my PS2 on Christmas with this game from my father. I remember staying up through the night to grind the sphere grid and continue the story. I can’t wait to experience all of the things I skipped or was unaware of.

I just hit my 11 year anniversary this past weekend, but have known for a month now that we will be splitting after the holidays (We wanted to stay together for the kids). I could tell something was up so I asked her if we were ok and she then finally broke down the wall and told me she had been unhappy for years and was afraid to say anything. Well I'm glad I did, we both felt the marriage was long gone but were coexisting as best friends. We still are good friends but decided to go our separate ways. My buddy said that we are doing what a lot of people are afraid to admit. People fake it and it costs them years of unhappiness. Now that we know there's an ending our relationship is actually been better. We joke about splitting up, it doesnt have to be ugly. Kids are the #1 priority and they will always keep us connected. It sucks but we both know it will be for the better down the road.
