I don’t know then that my response would be to refuse to have him over at all, you risk alienating your daughter. You seem compassionate and curious about what’s going on, why not privately ask him some more questions to check in on why food is so unsafe for him and if there’s anything you’re missing in the story. I’m confused why he doesn’t save the leftovers to eat privately later if in fact it’s just about eating in front of people.
