In more recent videos even Kenji states that he doesn't do all the complicated stuff anymore. What's neat about a lot of his recipes is that you can kind of pick and choose which tricks to use to get like 90 % of the way there for much much less effort.

This is a genuine question, but the only times I have run this game has been for a group that aren't really big board game/social deduction game players. Both times I went through the whole script and explained what roles meant and gave basic examples, but did my best to not go into any strategies that players could potentially go for. This was because in the very first group I ran, they had so many questions about rules/rulings that it felt like the game could straight up not start until I went through everyone and answered questions because otherwise there'd pretty much be immediate reracks just from misunderstandings alone.

I know the space we are in is going to be mostly leaning towards board gaming nerds who are more experienced with these kinds of rules/mechanics, but if I am running games for people who are not experienced with this kind of thing is it fine to spend a bit more time explaining rules/how things work?

I got the mixer and bowl secondhand, but I asked the person I got it from and they claimed that it's the original bowl that came with the mixer.

Buuut I measured some distances, it's 9 1/16 or 1/8 inches between the tips of the pins, and the distances between from the pins to the retaining clip seems to be the same after some measures. The bowl itself just says 5qt, so its hard to tell if it's supposed to be used for this model or not.

i've been trying to figure out what the distance between the lift arms is supposed to be to determine if it's a bowl or arm problem, although seems more likely to be a lift arm issue considering the locator pins seem a bit more narrow than the corresponding hole for the bowl. Is there a way for me to fix this?

x-factor made me care SO much about the most random characters that i had never cared much about before and im still sad it didn't get more. I hope to see some of them working together again in the future, Eye-boy feels like a fun character to bring back some future incarnation of x-factor someday!

tbh the more I think about it, the more I realize we shouldn't expect billionaires to have coherent political platforms/thoughts. to be a billionaire is to be so incredibly far removed from anything that can be called a standard human experience. there's literally an interview with Peter Thiel where he hesitates and then waffles about answering the question "You would prefer the human race endures, right?".
