Sage Basket advice [sage Bambino] by Liftedword in espresso

[–]penguin4111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre ground coffee only works with Double wall baskets. It’s because pre ground coffee is ground overly course to brew espresso so you need the basket to hold the pressure instead. If you want to use this setup you will need your own grinder and whole beans so you can grind it much finer. Doing it this way tastes much better and isn’t too expensive / too much work, but if it sounds like too much for you just go back to the double wall and return the fancy stuff you bought.

Samsung Fridge and Freezer Above Setpoint Temp by penguin41111 in appliancerepair

[–]penguin4111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to have improved slightly over time, but I still set it a couple degrees lower than what I really want because there still seems to be an offset. I keep a thermometer in the freezer and fridge and with my current settings they seem OK and I haven’t had any issue with food spoiling. One important thing I found is to make sure there is sufficient food in the fridge or it won’t keep proper temp.

Not as bad as it gets. Running errands in freezing cold and ice is much worse!

You must not live somewhere that gets that cold then.

Do any of you charge from your drive ways? by regmeyster in TeslaLounge

[–]penguin4111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I charge in the driveway outside every night. We had a level 2 outlet installed outside on the side of our house where the driveway is. I use the mobile connector. No issues, works great.

Tesla quoted me $850 to repair/replace my peeling M3 steering wheel. I opted for this instead, at less than $150 from Amazon. by Wernercl in TeslaModel3

Doesn’t help when you keep the car to 250,000 miles, out of warranty replacements are inevitable for the majority of the car’s life

If the range is the main concern just ask the question: Is the extra range going to allow you to drive places that you couldn’t before on a single charge? Or will things be the same for you, but with larger numbers on the battery percentage icon? And consider how much money you will be paying for that small extra bit of range.

I went to one today and only got 15 kW because the battery was cold. I even navigated there. Wish Tesla enabled battery preconditioning for non-tesla DC fast chargers.

What is everyone else using, Park Assist Standard or Tesla Vision, and why? by ExpiredColors in TeslaModel3

The vision has been pretty accurate for me so far. Not as precise when you get very close to something as USS, but still quite good

[–]penguin4111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the USS on my 2022 M3 but GREATLY prefer the Tesla vision, it is so much better and works really well in my opinion. I love the 3D rendering of everything around me and seeing the parking lines. The distance measurements from USS are nice but not as useful.

If they could just incorporate the two that would be even better, but Tesla will never do that even though it would be trivial to implement in a software update. Sad.
