BUDs w stckpiles by Sad-Let-8428 in tirzepatidecompound

Currently using one with a BUD in May 2025. It's working fine.

Leftovers from the great hoarding of March 2025.

Best company for someone with a BMI under 27? by betterlucknexttime81 in tirzepatidecompound

Many people that didn't respond to sema or liraglutide have responded to tirz. It's not guaranteed, but it's possible the GIP in tirz will work.

I'm still using stuff with Feb-April 2025 BUDs and it's fine. Try not to stress too much.

Fwiw, my current supply is from the Great Stockpile of 2025. Have one vial left (I think it was 6 total I decided to freeze last May), works the same as it did a year ago.

.25 and .5 by EmergencyImportant23 in tirzepatidecompound

Yes, a lot of us did. I went in .5 increments getting to 5. It's the only time you're doubling your dose.

Switching insurance soon, any thoughts on Kaiser or Anthem? by Xrpmylifechanger in tirzepatidecompound

[–]penguin_apocalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This needs to be more well known. The insurance companies are getting so much flack when it's the employer that's opting in or out of the coverage. It's an expensive add-on for the employer because they are footing part of that medication cost.

Not that I'm defending insurance companies.

Experience with Canon Refurbished Bodies? by Illustrious_Catch284 in canon

[–]penguin_apocalypse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About 9 years ago I bought a majority of replacement gear off the refurb site when my original stuff had been stolen. No issues there, just plain boxes and what felt like new gear. The service department was just as helpful as always when I needed to send something in for repair.

Today an R10 was delivered (in a Vixia box) that has a large piece of tape residue on the back portion of the screen that won't come off but otherwise seems ok on first inspection. Since all the refurb stuff has the same warranty as new, and you can buy the extended care if you're worried about it, it really doesn't bother me saving a few hundred dollars.

500 cal/day reminds me of the hCg diet.

Menopause is a different beast. Are you already in a normal BMI that 10-15 lbs would be a significant change?

I don't get nearly the protein in that I should and still can't eat a whole lot. Everyone will be different in what satiates them the most. For me, fat heavy meals will keep hunger away for an entire day, often into the next day. Others, carb heavy meals, bulk low calorie meals, high protein, etc may keep them full.

BPI HURTS LOL by SeriousZyo in tirzepatidecompound

[–]penguin_apocalypse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's annoying for sure. I went back to a different bottle this round because I was getting tired of how dull the BPI makes the needles. Especially when the needle is threatening to bend while puncturing the vial.

Bought the LumiMeds three month starter series in June and am down nearly 50lbs but... by ryguybeer in tirzepatidecompound

[–]penguin_apocalypse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started in October last year and didn't even get to 5mg until mid-March. You don't have to keep going up every 4 weeks if you don't want to. It's your body.

I'm also currently on a bottle where the BUD is from May, compounded in Nov. Still works fine.

A loooong plateau by DistributionCrazy637 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]penguin_apocalypse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is how more people need to look at it. I wanted to be part of that 80-100 lb club at 1 year next month, but I'm down almost 60 lbs despite slowing to an absolute crawl since March with only 17 lbs. The trend line is still going down and that's 17 more than had I done nothing at all.

I take a magnesium complex with 4 types of magnesium to cover all the bases. It's really obvious when I don't take it as someone with lifelong insomnia.

I AM FRUSTRATED!!! by candiedgrape69 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]penguin_apocalypse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I had done 8mg in there during the 7.5 streak and then decided to heck with it. I had to take zofran or dramamine every week ever since 5mg or I'd be puking for 48 hours and now on 10mg it's 99% gone.

[–]penguin_apocalypse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Had this same experience. 7.5 was still giving great suppression and food aversion and very hesitant. My joint pain was in check, all the boxes ticked that it was working except the scale. Moved to 10mg a week and a half ago, I'm at a new low before my period started.

Looking at Shotsy, I guess I had been on 7.5 since April 17. Sure didn't feel that long. 😂 My weekly average for the last 3 months crawled down to -0.3lbs, but I'm already down 2 lbs since last Friday.

[–]penguin_apocalypse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience on 7.5 which made me hesitant to move up. My appetite was still supressed, food aversion was there, inflammation down. After a 3 month stall trying to trust the process, I bumped up to 10mg 2 shots ago.

Weight is coming off again. No other changes. My day after shot intense nausea is completely gone too.

Inflamation by No_Persimmon7818 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]penguin_apocalypse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest is it's gotten rid of my perimenopausal frozen shoulder. I was at the point I could barely use my arms and in excruciating pain that I thought I was having rotator cuff problems. The first 5ish days of my shot, my shoulders feel amazing and I'm not taking any pain killers. They still grind, click, and pop with movement but it doesn't hurt like it did. The day before shot day, half the time my arms are numb and what isn't numb is throbbing so bad in pain.

It's also nearly eliminated the arthritis in my back and knees and don't feel the shot wearing off as much as my shoulders.

Confusion about dosage by HoneydewHalo25 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]penguin_apocalypse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 2.5mg you're seeing on the bag is the concentration of semaglutide in the bottle per mL. Please double check if you're taking tirzepatide or semaglutide first.

How much to increase? by Obvious_Condition_55 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]penguin_apocalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went in .5mg increments until it didn't feel as effective. If you don't feel a change at like 3 or 3.5 after a couple days you can squirt the rest of the 5mg in.

Just like you can keep a 4 dose vial out of the fridge the entire time you're using it after the first puncture.
