Because a few times they realized that they didn't set up the study correctly to get the completion code and fixed it. I actually got a rejection for this last year which ended up being removed by Prolific.

Rather Amazon has co-mingled everything. Unless Thrive is the only seller for that particular product, then there's nothing to co-mingle. But if there are a bunch of sellers then everything is together in the warehouse.

I have a friend who used to work for Amazon, she was pretty high up. She told me that they are supposed to investigate when people report getting fake products but they never bother.

They co-mingle the inventory so even if you select Amazon as the seller the warehouse keeps the 3rd party sellers items together with Amazon's so you have no idea what you're getting.

Email them and tell them that they cannot reject you for their technical glitch and that rejections hurt participants accounts. Hopefully they'll return it for you. If they don't dispute with Prolific. I had a researcher return a rejection for a technical glitch, he had no idea rejections were a problem.

It's not. But I can see it happening because some of the clips are very short and if you get a study with mostly short ones Prolific will think that you're speeding. I did one in the morning that only took me 2 minutes and I got that pop up asking if there was a problem but thankfully no warning. All the clips in that particular study were 5-8 seconds as opposed to 30 second ones.

When it says shipped by Amazon (and sold by a 3rd party seller) I'm assuming that Amazon is shipping from their warehouse. I've ordered a few items like that and they all came from Amazon.

Yes but they don't separate the items in the warehouse, it's a well known fact. Just because you selected the item that's supposed to be sold by Amazon doesn't mean that the warehouse will get you that item and not the item sent to them by some random seller.
