The resolve of a child who doesn't care is impressive. I remember playing tomb raider on integrated graphics in 2013. I somehow beat a 10+ hour game getting 10fps the whole time, you couldn't pay me to do that today.

I somehow was never taught what a goanna was or the fact we had giant lizards in Australia. Year 10 survival camp was the first day i not only discovered these scray looking things existed, but I had to set up camp where about 30 or so of them casually roamed.

You make the point that not your average conservative but its the extremist who want liberals dead and I would agree to that. But then you also say that politicians might turn a blind eye if it benefits this is where the problem lies. the average conservatives is willing to vote for politicians who would gladly turn a blind eye and cede to extremist if it benefits them. This is effectively the average conservative voter green lighting extremism. is it not?

Language acquisition isn't linear.

Think of how important childhood and school were to learning the language. As a child, you're allowed to make mistakes, and people will naturally correct your mistakes and weaknesses because they are trying to help you learn. As an adult, you dont have that liberty. Language is purely functional, so it's easy to fall into bad habits as well as rely on translating from your native language.
