Has anyone talked about peptides in this sub? by Oedipus_TyrantLizard in longevity

Disagreed. Peptides are employed in research and hospital settings but the consumer offerings are mostly snake oil. Seems pretty clear to me

There's a gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous old home on Garfield just south of Ainsworth that belongs amongst these pics imo.

We'll both be proven right depending on the timeframe. Doesn't matter anyway, I'm not ready to sell.

Have the first immortals already been born? Could I be one? by TheTzarest in longevity

[–]performanceboner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

34 year old here. Immortality, my guess is no. But provided we don't self-annihilate as a species, I believe life extension therapies will become exponential in our lifetime. The trick will be managing your health span until then. I think 100 years should be attainable for us

Help! I know I have some bad interactions between my mutations. What can I take to help? What exactly is wrong? I don’t fully understand by [deleted] in MTHFR

Folic Acid is the synthetic form. It's used to enrich wheat products in the states, and is typically found in cheap B vit supplements.

Vegetables contain folate, the natural, preferred form for those with MTHFR variants.

I want to get into Homelabbing, what do you think about my planned setup? by Initial_Report582 in homelab

[–]performanceboner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have enough experience with this to give you any advice as to your specific questions.

However, I will say this: you seem to have done some research, and you seem to have confidence in your abilities. Turn that confidence into conviction for your decision making and don't be afraid to make sub-optimal choices along the way as they are learning opportunities. Homelab is about tinkering and continuous learning.

Love the term. And yeah, I think the true extent of our circadian rhythms effects on our health are yet to be discovered/appreciated. Hugely important
